its difficult to give a fair review because i was here on business and my boss was paying for the rooms, but if it were for me, i would have not booked here because it did look bad from the reviews. anyway for the price paid, one cannot really expect much more.
the worst thing was probably not having an en suite room and having to share a bathroom with other people, or wait in a queue to use it.
we arrived late at night and the owner was nice enough to open us the door and give us the keys, explaining breakfast. the room were very small; mine had a tiny wardrobe with only one door and a small window. the sink was ok. it was not dirty and it was warm enough.
The shared bathroom was quite big and decently clean. it was just a bit hard to adjust warm water.
breakfast was very nice (not the sweets, but the savoury part): a super friendly lady cooks everything on the spot and there's a good choice of juice, cereal, coffee etc.
The owner is a nice guy and his friendliness helps raising my total score a bit.
wi-fi was good, too.
It's not close to Derby city centre, so if you can find a more central accommodation, go for it.More
