Stayed one night, welcoming & friendly staff, great breakfast, comfy bed, good shower, dinner menu looked good but didn't eat as had pre-booked elsewhere. Great location for Ironbridge and surroundings.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights to visit the Ironbridge museums. Lovely welcome when we arrived and were shown to our room, which was lovely with everything we needed. We ate at the pub on both evenings and both meals were excellent. Plenty of choice, including Mexican, with massive portions and great chips. Beer was well kept and a good selection of wine. Breakfast, served in the conservatory, was again very nice. We will stay again before our Ironbridge passports run out.

We arrived very early and there was no problem dropping things into our room. The room was very nice, there was a good shower and an excellent location. Excellent breakfast and a varied evening meal menu. The staff were very friendly and chatty. We felt welcome and relaxed throughout the stay.

We stayed here for a couple of days on route to north wales and what a nice place it is my only moan would be the steps to the rooms at the back of the hotel are steep narrow at one end and quite awkward at the other if you have mobility issues but the stay was good all the rooms are cleaned daily that i could see they have an excellent restaurant in the hotel selling a good menu and its good food as well The staff are also very good as well very friendly and they work hard as well The hotel is situated about 2 miles from the bridge in the gorge and there is a good easy walk to the bridge along an old railway line across the river a good tip if you are looking at going to the numerous museums is to buy the all in ticket this gives you access to them all in the area and saves a fortune Also there are a few of them if you walk to the bridge

Room tip: the family room is good not always availible

We have been past this pub on many occasions and it always looks inviting. This was out first visit. We stopped for lunch. The pub is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. We ordered lunch and were not disappointed by the food. However the service was not brilliant and the food took a long time to arrive.
