Arriving at Leeds Castle we were efficiently parked, making our way down to the ticket office we were greeted by a lovely woman (regretfully I did not get her name, but an absolute joy to talk to and she gave us a lot of useful information about the grounds and facilities)
We then took a walk down to the castle, past the birds of all different kinds. Arrival at the castle was rather frosty being completely honest, we were not made to feel welcome at all. But the castle is lovely and has some fascinating things to see.
We then headed to the Castle Shop where we were not even acknowledged (I would understand if they were busy but there were only two other people in the shop)
We picked a few items to buy and there were four people standing behind the tills chatting and honestly it felt like they thought we were a nuisance who had interrupted them when we went to pay. We did not feel like this was good customer service.
On the positive side the grounds are fab and we did enjoy the castle. One highlight of our day was the falconry display, beautiful birds and the man holding the demonstration was brilliant. He was absolutely engaging and gave us some great facts about the birds. Also enjoyed the maze which was more difficult than we thought it would be!More
