Arriving at Leeds Castle we were efficiently parked, making our way down to the ticket office we were greeted by a lovely woman (regretfully I did not get her name, but an absolute joy to talk to and she gave us a lot of useful information about the grounds and facilities)
We then took a walk down to the castle, past the birds of all different kinds. Arrival at the castle was rather frosty being completely honest, we were not made to feel welcome at all. But the castle is lovely and has some fascinating things to see.
We then headed to the Castle Shop where we were not even acknowledged (I would understand if they were busy but there were only two other people in the shop)
We picked a few items to buy and there were four people standing behind the tills chatting and honestly it felt like they thought we were a nuisance who had interrupted them when we went to pay. We did not feel like this was good customer service.
On the positive side the grounds are fab and we did enjoy the castle. One highlight of our day was the falconry display, beautiful birds and the man holding the demonstration was brilliant. He was absolutely engaging and gave us some great facts about the birds. Also enjoyed the maze which was more difficult than we thought it would be!

Good day out, but expensive, £25.50 per adult. But you can come back for free during the year.
Has been rebuilt many times since the 1200s and mostly 19th and 20th centenary
Bird display worth seeing
Free parking

Education day out with the family at Leeds Castle.
The grounds are gardens stunning and the staff members friendly and very informative, especially on the Castle tour. Even though it was raining there was still plenty of activities on and it wasn't too busy for a Bank Holiday. We paid for the annual ticket price which is great value and will be back again very soon.
