On our way home visited the owl sanctuary just before it closed. A very helpful guy who looks after the maintainance of the site showed us round. He took the time to show us a lot of the birds and was very knowledgeable. The weather turned awful as the heavens opened and he gave us umbrellas and coats. We were very impressed with how helpful he was considering the weather and the fact he was closing for the day. Thank you we will definitely be back earlier one day to see the flying displays.

It was an amazing experience to see birds that I had never seen before. The bird flights were amazing and we got some brilliant photos. Andy was one of the keepers and he was informative, funny and enjoyed having people ask questions. He seemed to know lots about the birds and told interesting stories about them. Would definitely recommend going.

Visited the sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Straight away was met by a very welcoming young man who engaged with my young five year old son brilliantly. All the birds where in excellent condition and there was plenty of different types of owls. The show was brilliant and the handlers try and get everyone involved by letting the birds fly to them my little lad was over the moon. Thanks will defiantly be returning an will be booking the flying experience.

A really enjoyable way to spend a few hours. We arrived an hour before the flying demonstration was due to start and spent an enjoyable 45 minutes looking round the animals. Some weird and wonderful owls I've never even heard of before! There's something about looking at owls during the day that makes you feel very sleepy.

The whole team of volunteers clearly enjoy their work and it was lovely to watch how the birds interact with their handlers.

The flying demonstration was amazing. I've never had the opportunity to get so close to so many different types of birds and owls - even had an owl land on my head. Everyone was involved (regardless of age) and the birds seemed to really enjoy being the centre of attention.

At £5 for an adult it's an absolute bargain. Once you've seen everything the sanctuary has to offer there is a large garden centre (with a cafe) which is also well worth a look.
