What a pleasant stay and very good meals that we had this lovely b&b. Paul and Karen and the staff were lovely and the rooms were so comfortable. Cannot wait to return!

It simply does not get more British than this, either the institution that is the cream tea, or the place itself - English owned and run, great cakes and treats cooked onsite, in authentic (old but good) surroundings.

Only downside, and this is not their fault, is that it's all round goodness attracts the foreign tourists, with their loud brash voices detracting from the English experience.

Us 3 kids plus our other halves took the parents away to the Cotswolds for their 60th birthday. On the Saturday we booked afternoon tea at Badgers Hall (well you have to don't you if you're in the Cotswolds!!)

On arrival the owner was so welcoming and friendly.

We had booked in advance given the size of our party and one of us was lactose intolerant. Slightly annoying, though I'd asked for soya milk, they'd lost the email but bless them, in their defence rather than do nothing, they had bought a substitute as although they didn't remember the soya bit, they knew he was lactose intolerant.

Food was never ending. Mountains of cake, sandwiches and tea were replenished whenever we blinked and not only was everything tasty, it was nicely presented.

The actual tea room was very quaint. Low beams, small/cosy (definitely not a hall) - felt liked we gone round to a granny's for tea - really comforting!!

At the end of the day - we'd go again and it was the best place we found during our 3 days in Chipping Campden for afternoon tea (and the parentals loved it and were suitably full by the end!!)

I tried to stay there but owner wanted same price for rooms facing front of hotel. I saw previous reviews warning of street noise. I asked for discount due to potential noise and owner was offended. I stayed at another local B&B instead.

I conduct small group tour around the UK and Ireland and I am always looking for unique accommodation and this really fits the bill! I have been coming to Badgers Hall for several years to eat but I had not stayed here until last summer. They only have 4 rooms and so I hadn't been able to use them before but we were taking a family group of 4 around the UK on a literary tour and immediately booked rooms. I was so excited before we even arrived as I have long wanted to stay in this amazing 15th century building. Having eaten here several times, I was also excited about breakfast! We were not disappointed in any way!
All of the rooms are beautiful and very well appointed. Some of them have the original beamed ceilings and exposed rock which I love! We were greeted with scones and tea in the garden area and this started out what was to be, two extremely lovely days. Karen and Paul are warm, wonderful hosts and I have long been a fan of Paul's soups and his lemon drizzle cake is absolute heaven!
I highly recommend staying here but if nothing else, at least stop by for tea!

If a cream tea is something you crave this is the place to visit. All the cakes look lovely but the scones are out of this world, large & light with a crunchy edge. You will not be disappointed.
Can't wait to return!

Karen and Paul are brilliant hosts who make you feel really welcome. the staff are very friendly too. If you enjoy gorgeous home made cakes not to mention the wonderful breakfasts
You will not be disappointed.

This was our second stay at Badger's Hall in ChippingCamden and no doubt there will be
Others. the only downside is the increased waistline. So it's back to the gym!
