Hard to believe that that there were plans to demolish this in the post war clean up! phew! stunning building, payed for by a collective of philanthropists from the industrial revolution era. Currently closed for refurbishment to prevent a bill as big as parliaments. I am lucky enough to go to meetings in the boardroom and have also attended concerts and wedding here. When it re opens it is definitely worth a visit, tours take you up to the clock tower and the windows, tiling, carvings etc etc are just stunning. On the ground floor is a cafe serving afternoon teas as well as the usual cafe fare.

Manchester Town Hall is impressive from the outside with fine architecture. However, the only part open to the public is the enquiries section main entrance.
What we did see was again fine interior architecture and we plan to go to the next public open day

One of the biggest Christmas markets in Europe in every December. The venue is great to meet friends who will have a beer and sausage.

I went to the toen hall in differrnt occasions, to attend events but there is nothing better than to go for a coffee during he Christmas season, where the tree is up and can create a magical feeling and taking you back in time with the small of old wood.
