At our pre concert lunch had to stand to eat our lunch as no free seats. Sandwiches and coffee were good quality but a shame we were unable to relax and enjoy them.

We turned up midweek for a lighter lunch and were surprised at how quiet it was. Had checked the menu on line although it has changed a bit. Very nice quiet setting with a view of the river/canal.
Had a couple of coffees while waiting for our son. Lovely strong coffee but would like a bigger cup.
We tried the salt beef, cornichon and horseradish mayo wholemeal sandwich, a griddled bloomer with salmon, dill and cornichon and a griddled halloumi, red pepper and avocado. All with dressed salad and a had a portion of parmesan chips -gorgeous.
Service was efficient and friendly.
Also felt it was good value for money with very fresh and interesting sandwiches.

We arrived early for the evening performance of the Nutcracker and so thought we would eat in the Stalls cafe bar. unfortunately, all that was on offer up until 6.00pm was a few cold sandwiches, so we decided to wait and had a hot drink, which was only just warm. We noticed that other visitors were leaving their sandwiches. The hot food bar was setting up and at 6.00 we ordered two hot turkey and stuffing and two hot mushroom and smoky bbq sauce. The sandwiches were prepared as we waited, the turkey and mushrooms being taken from lidded pots. Served on floury baps which were cold and dry, (fresh from the freezer?) the fillings were already tepid not hot, the turkey was tender but had lots of fat or skin hanging off it, the mushrooms weren't much better, an odd combination with the sauce. To make matters worse, they were served on small pieces of cardboard, completely impractical and very messy. All in all, a very disappointing pre concert "meal"! We assumed that this was a "pop up" bar but according to the website, this is a permanent fixture! The Bridgewater is a fantastic venue, badly let down by this attempt at "bar food". It would make sense to have a more permanent set up for hot drinks and food rather than flasks of hot water and food pots transported from the kitchens. We have visited the Bridgewater many times for a variety of performances but have never eaten there previously! We certainly wouldn't bother again.

busy but service good prices ok although not much seating . no bins to view either, signs be great to indicate upper bars open to help keep crowds dispersed.

This is a review for the bar, not the venue or concert we attended which was amazing (Space Spectacular).
I don't mind paying a bit over the going rate but £13 for a Pimms and lemonade, regular coke and bag of Starburst is ridiculous! Wouldn't get a drink here again, they should be considering the overall experience of the patrons, not just their profits.
