Description: We are a warm and welcoming traditional pub that prides itself on providing great quality homemade food, sourced from local suppliers, such as the award winning 'Frost' the butchers of Chorlton. We are a family friendly pub showing all live sports, from the premiership football to the Irish GAA. Our recently refurbished Green Room is now dog friendly, providing a warm atmosphere to sit and have a drink after a long walk in the Chorlton Ees meadows just across the road. For those rare hot summer days, we have a large beer garden to sit and enjoy a cold drink and bowling green for a fun game of bowls with your friends. We have baby changing facilities in both the ladies and the mens toilets and a good sized car park to the rear of the pub. We offer free function room hire for a variety of occasions, from funerals to christenings, with no minimum number of guests required, nothing is too big or too small for us to cater for, just ask ! We look forward to seeing you soon. Mark,Jenny and all the team.

We like The Bowling Green because the friendly. The food is average pub food fare, reliable and unfussy, not expensive and the kids eat it (so for those who have kids it doesn't feel like a waste of money). It's a half way back stop for us on a long walk down the Mersey through Chorlton Ees. It a proper pub as some would say!

Called in to catch the second half a football game with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. Really friendly atmosphere, mix of ages and children welcome. We didn't eat but wish we had, food looked and smelt good as it was being brought out.

This is a real local pub. They serve a good range of beers and the Guinness is superb. The food especially on a sunday is lovely. Great friendly staff. Highly recommend :-)

Not coming back under current ownership. I have no intention of paying for the wedding. It's a shame, as my mate & I have been dropping in for months.
