“Anchor and stay”

The Anchor Coffee House
Ranked #24 of 104 Coffee & Tea in Manchester
Price range: US$3 - US$8
Description: Serving our community with speciality coffee, freshly made food and practical support. The Anchor Coffee House 508 Moss Lane East Manchester, M14 4PA [view on map] SUMMER OPENING: 10am - 4pm Monday to Saturday "The Anchor is the most welcoming place in Manchester." "It's like a coffee shop version of the Apple store. Very neat and not over doing it. But mostly, amazing service." "Lovely, clean space that's good not only for its supply of Monmouth Coffee, but also its seriously tasty bagels." "On the outside it's all clean lines and style, which jars somewhat with the less than polished Rusholme area. You'd think it would be expensive, but it isn't. It's a humble reflection of what a available. The Anchor is truly an anchor - it extends an arm: they have an outreach programme for the hungry, and offer a food bank service every Thursday for those living below the poverty line."

Drop anchor and find a nice berth here for some excellent coffee. Lovely bagels are also served. Staff are very pleasant.

For a Brazilian the quality of the coffee is so important, and here they really have good ones! The place is also amazing, you can stay here all day working or just having a great time with friends. Congrats to the team, really friendly!

Always been slightly disappointed with here. The food, whilst good, is simply not served in sufficient portions- I have always left feeling hungry despite spending £10 plus on tea, a bagel, and cake. Sort it out and I'll be back, otherwise it's somewhere to avoid.

I like the fact this place is a converted pub, shows the changing times of our society.

And a great conversion too, nice seating and natural light.

The menu is minimal. Bagels, soups etc. I did forget to ask for my bagel to be toasted... So..if you prefer your bagel toasted.. Dont forget to ask.

Flat whites were the order of the day. Served in a cortado-glass style. Was fresh and tasty. Prefer mine a little smoother and in a larger glass, but was fine.

If youre driving, there is a pay and display round the back.
