Fabulous time at the Gotham. Second visit and loved every minute. We stayed just one night. Room was beautiful, staff very friendly and efficient. Dinner in the restaurant was superb. We did not even go out of the hotel as we wanted to make the most of the whole experience. Fabulous for a city break, great shops and theatres.
Close to them all. Spotlessly clean and a very interesting hotel inside and out.
After our welcome drink at reception we headed up to the outside terrace and sat in the sun with drinks and snacks. The newly opened second outdoor terrace was like sitting in a country garden filled with fresh herbs and strawberry plants.
Breakfast was gorgeous, the pancakes with crispy bacon were amazing!
Yes it is quite expensive but you get what you pay for and it is well worth it. We look forward to returning in the near future.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful.

Room Tip: We like higher floor rooms to look at the architecture which is stunning

From arrival to departure, every single detail was exceptional. My husband booked a night away as a surprise for my birthday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we were shown where everything was, restaurant/bar etc. We had also booked to eat in the restaurant on a recommendation from a relative.
Our room (one with a bath, which the manager kindly gave us an upgrade to!) was spectacular! Huge, beautifully clean, stylish decor, wonderfully luxurious touches. They have thought of absolutely everything!
The restaurant was beautiful, again, exceptionally clean and a great view over the rooftops from the window. The food was fantastic, the wine delicious, all staff very knowledgable.
After dining we went up to the bar for cocktails and sat on the roof terrace, it was a lovely atmosphere, excellent cocktails.
I cannot speak highly enough, everywhere you look you think, 'oh look, that's a great idea...that's a fantastic touch.'
Every detail has been thought about, the coffee and tea in the rooms is excellent quality, great coffee machine.
On arriving back to the room after our cocktails, we found they had drawn the curtains, dimmed the lights and put Classic FM on the tv, such a lovely touch... Along with the Batman shaped homemade biscuits in a little jar on the bedside table!
Breakfast was excellent too.
I will have missed a thousand things I marvelled at over the 24 hours I was there. Suffice it to say that this hotel is truly exceptional and I cannot speak highly enough of it!

Having stayed at The Gotham Hotel 28th June for dinner bed and breakfast we could not fault a thing!
we were greeted by a lovely receptionist and we were given a welcome drink.
Our room was a beautiful boutique style bedroom, very clean and cosy.
We had a snack and drinks on the roof terrace which we enjoyed in the sunshine . We loved the new addition balcony which had fresh herbs and strawberry plants.
We had dinner In the Homey Restaurant which was amazing. The best fillet steak we have had in a long time. Although pricey we felt it was worth every penny.
We enjoyed breakfast looking out at all the fabulous architecture through the arched window .
Breakfast was gorgeous!
We feel 5 stars should be awarded to all staff concerned for making our stay so pleasurable.
After two visits to the hotel and thinking of a third it would be nice for the hotel to introduce a loyalty scheme for upgrades and incentives.

Went here for a birthday treat on a Sunday night. Reception staff very cold & asked us where we where going for dinner but when we told them a Thai restaurant they didn't answer probably as we where not eating in the hotels restaurant. The room was tiny...whoever took the pictures must have been a miracle worker. The wardrobe was covered in dust as where the glasses in the wardrobe/mini bar. No batman biscuits as in the hotel pictures just an empty glass jar !! The pull out mirror in the bathroom was missing the mirror & just had the extending arm sticking out of the wall. The windows in the room cant be opened & are badly finished with flaking paint. We visited the bar to meet friends but could not see them so we asked the barman if this was the only bar & his reply was " why do you need another" the same barman came out to see if we wanted more drinks to which we replied no thank you, he replied " are you sure" a bit cocky in my eyes. Lots of better, clean & friendlier places in Manchester probably will drop a star & some pretense soon.
