Located next to the river, a 15 minutes walk from the cathedral. Public parking under the hotel. Typical Ibis room, typical Ibis breakfast. Just one issue. They accommodate large groups, so be prepared to face some waiting time at the breakfast buffet.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights in June. It is in an excellent location as part of Les Halles Shopping Mall, next to two tram stops and a five minute walk from the main tram hub. The city centre and railway station are about 10 minutes walk and the major sites not more than a fifteen minute stroll away. It is an eight storey tower with about 100 rooms. It is an ibis that has been modernised in part only. Thus, the common areas were tidy and well presented. There was a breakfast room, a small bar with soft seating, a public computer space and a baggage room. Wifi is free and quite acceptable. Our room on the 6th floor benefitted from two windows as we think is standard in all rooms. An otherwise small room was made light and airy. We experienced no cross-room noise and only a little street noise. The bed was standard ibis sweet bed and comfortable. The bathroom hadn't received much attention and whilst clean was both dated and showing its age. There was an over-bath shower that presented difficulties stepping into the bath and securing an effective shower was a challenge. Housekeeping was, at best, unpredictable. Breakfast was a little disappointing for a 06:30 visit the only hot food was a self-boiled egg and toast. Bacon pieces arrived around 07:00. The remaining selection was standard continental fare and pleasant enough. We understand there is an arrangement with the adjacent Novotel for meals other than breakfast but we did not use this service. There is, however, no shortage of bars and restaurants close by - within and without the Mall. We did not notice any groups during our stay. At present access for disabled visitors - especially if wheelchair bound - would be difficult. The hotel is on the perimeter of the Mall and that perimeter is being extensively reformed. Whilst we had no particular problems with noise, access was a moveable feast from day to day and work seems to be stretching well into 2018. As ever, the staff make the hotel. They were friendly and helpful and if nothing else prepared to talk and attempt to achieve the best possible stay for their guests. We would return.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms overlook the city and might provide a more interesting view than the rear. But we found it quiet and good enough.

Excellent location on the edge of the canal that encircles the city, with an underground car park. You only have to walk across the adjacent bridge and you are a short distance from the cathedral, Petit France and other attractions.
Typically comfortable Ibis bedroom and dining area - more than adequate for a couple of nights. However, with the availability of micro-waves a better choice of snack could be offered in the evening.
In view of the number of British and other English speaking visitors it's a pity that greater choice of English language TV stations aren't available. We felt that some more British (German, Spanish, Chinese, etc.)stations should be available. This is true for ALL Accor hotels.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. I work in Strasbourg every now and again and always use this hotel as the breakfast is nice and the rooms are clean and big enough for one - might be more of a squeeze for a couple, but still big enough.

Room Tip: The back of the hotel is quieter as the front of it is on the tram line.

My dad and I stayed at the Ibis for 2 nights. Pro's are definitely
1. the location, its located very near the city centre, all possible by foot, and located above a big car park.
2. the staff. First of all they do speak english (which is something rare in France), Spanish and german. And they are also spontaneous and willing to help.
3. The breakfast. 10 euro for a Breakfast walking dinner is a normal price for hotels, but still there is enough to choose from, and its fresh!

Con's:
1. The room is ok, something you'd expect from Ibis. But still very small. And the bathroom wasnt totally clean as there were hairs from previous guests present.

Room Tip: Choose a room looking out over the river!
