Dropped in here one evening while strolling around the area. Wasn't too busy so we were seated and served fairly quickly. Food and wine were excellent and well priced. We just wanted an appetizer/entree. I had a beef tartare and my partner a tuna dish. Both were excellent. There was only one waitress who was working really hard while the fellow behind the bar stood and watched while doing little else to help.

We booked here, based on the TA reviews we read. When we arrived, we liked the location and ambience. Staff were attentive, although we had a few complications with language. Our problem, not theirs, as we don’t speak French.

However, we did reach agreement on the finish we needed with our mains; which were duck and lamb dishes, where we asked for medium to well done respectively. So it was very disappointing to receive dishes that were very rare and rare respectively.

Frustratingly, our lack of language skills meant we could not address the matter, so we just ate what we could. It meant quite a lot of the meals were left on our plates, but that elicited no reaction from the server when they cleared the table.

On the other hand, the wines were good and other courses presented well.

The key takeout is probably for future diners to be sure they are comfortable in ordering meat dishes clearly in French

We managed to get the only free table on a very busy Saturday night and we were very happy that we did.
Service was friendly and efficient. We both selected different fixed price menus and found all courses very tasty and well presented.
A great choice in the heart of the city.

Nice French Bistro. Reasonably priced set menus with good food and wine. Nothing amazing to report, and some dishes were much better than others, but service was attentive and it's worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for some classic french food.

Excellent menu with fairly limited choices but obviously cooked based on freshness and availability.
Fixed price menu options are very good - we selected from the €24 menu and both starters and mains were excellent. Desert didn't quite live up to the same standard but didn't effect our overall enjoyment.
