OMG one of the best things in Bordeaux. It’s a joy to stroll through by all the stalls selling fish, meats, veg, fruit, cheese, soaps, pies, spices, cakes, breads .... pure joy. Some stalls also serve fresh oysters. Heaven.

Best way to spend the sunny sunday morning :) Enjoy your oysters and look for the artisanal cheese booth.

The Marche des Quais is a nice outdoor market along the river on Sunday mornings. We buy some produce and food for the week, but there are a lot of delicious vendors selling food perfect for a picnic lunch on the quay.

This is part of the renovation of the quays and gentrification has turned this into a perfect walk with cafes, restaurants and shops. It is popular over the weekend and on Sunday there is an excellent food market here which is well worth the visit. Easy for families, couples and those who want to chill out...

Didn't expect this but enjoyed simply walking and looking. There is a marvellous range of produce and the pride of the stall holders is brilliant.
