This is a wonderful big cottage that had plenty of room for 8 couples to move around in. There was plenty of space both inside and out and as the weather was good we were able to take advantage of the barbecue area and swimming pool. The wine from the nearby vineyard was good value, the red in particular was excellent. Only downside is that you need to have to drive but its a small price to pay for staying in such a lovely setting. We would definitely visit again!

Four of us had a five night break here (we had plenty of room!) Everything was perfect, very well equipped with modernised bathrooms offering real comfort. Perfectly located for exploring Bordeaux and local towns. It also has the benefit of a Chateaux next door for emergency wine supplies. The owner, Denis, more than obliging and happy to show you around.

The owner of the property also was extremely helpful, highly recommended.

“Comfortable Cottage ”

I enjoy wine tasting, wine with food, wine with friends and wine just for myself! So when my husband said he was going to Paris France for work, I wasn't going to be left behind. Neither was his Mother and Auntie! Lol
The famous Bordeaux was a must visit for a few days. We all wished we would have stayed the week!!! Marjolyn's French Cottage was very inviting!!! Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with delicious bottle of wine and a personal letter from Marjolyn on the table! She also left a copy of the letter of helpful instructions and recommendations for restaurants. We greatfully took her suggestion and made reservations that same evening to L' AtmOShere in St Germain du Puch for a wonderful dinner, dessert and wine!
We occupied 3 of the bedrooms down stairs. The cottage had all the necessities available throughout rooms. Everything was neat and clean with a personal touch (zip lock buggies, saran wrap, foil in the kitchen) the small things you don't think of til you need them. We turned the heat up, because it was a little chilly and it warmed up quickly (the last weekend in April). Marjolyn even stocked up the fireplace! The beds were comfy and had plenty of blankets. The washrooms were stocked with toiletries, a blow dryer and a amazing towel warmer!....It was to chilly to be outside to enjoy the patio, but I did go for an evening walk down the street toward the winery next door. It was Sunday and it looked like they might have been closed. Next time!

Tips:
1. Travel with slippers to wear at the hotels and rentals. (The floors take longer to heat)
2. Remember the rentals are not hotels, so the towels and bedding is air dried after washing.
3. Always carry toilet paper everywhere you go in France. (You never know when you're going to need it, til you really need it)

I hope this helps!

“Pure delight!”

Our recent stay at Marjolyn's beautiful French cottage was nothing short of a delight! The cottage easily hosted our extended family of 9 including elderly parents and teenagers. The cottage is conveniently located to all you could possibly need - although we found we didn't need to go anywhere!!
Highly recommended - our only complaint is that we were not there long enough...

“A wonderful place for our family celebration”
Reviewed 25 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a lreally warm welcome for our week at this lovely villa. We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary with our two children, their spouses and our four young grandchildren and we were not disappointed. There was loads of room inside, a big garden and a marvellous pool. All sorts of extra touches such as a second dishwasher and crockery in the BBQ area.were an additional bonus. Despite being the height of the French holiday season it was very peaceful. Close to many of the top French vineyards and less than an hour and a half to the coast, there was lots to do when we felt like venturing away from base.

“Beautiful Villa and amazing host!”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Beautiful villa in a lovely part of France. Close to Bordeaux and Libourne and 25 minutes by car to the tram for a relaxing trip in to the city.
Great for families or a group of friends (we travelled in a group of 10 and never got under each others feet ) Pool lovely!
Golf courses close by and small supermarket 2 minutes away.
Marjie the owner couldn't be more helpful - we arrived on a Sunday and when she found out she knew the shops would be shut so went shopping for us! Then booked all our golf and checked trains etc. Wonderful help!
