Had a wonderful lunch al fresco in the walled garden with great attention to detail on table decor and interesting sculptures to set a great ambience for the superb food (& wine) that followed. A really special place and suffice to say we will absolutely be heading back !

Top marks in food and service.

Thank Amanda C

Dinner outside in the Courtyard garden is delightful with a discrete floodlighting and a art canopy of mature trees. There are "fun" metal sculptures including small ones on each table.

The service was friendly, efficient but not intrusive.

Excellent hot and cold fois gras starter followed by rare beef carved at the table with a "sabre". - different and a "fun" element added to the evening.

A little pricey perhaps (especially with the £ to € at present) but taken as an overall experience worth a visit and merits its ranking on Tripadvisor.

Situated in a frame really very beautiful at the heart of the city. Buildings of the XVIth century, attractive shaded court, beautiful internal room. Quality dishes, original flavors, quality products,A little bit atypical and thoughtful service. The plates of the menu surprise can however seem little copious.Nevertheless, a very beautiful address of quality and pleasure.

I've been there for the second time with my wife. Something to know about my wife: she is fairly intolerant to lots of things in food so she may be challenging to deal with.

In this place ? Not a problem, it is even more like a challenge they accept to make her happy. They made custom stuff for her so that she will enjoy the experience

The menu is nice, wine are good and they provide good advices.

Perfect service, really dedicated to the customer experience, food is awesome.

If you go to Perigueux, try to go there. Worth your time.

Depending on the season, ask to eat outside

On a pleasant evening, we arrived at Le Clos Saint Front for dinner to be warmly greeted by our host. After two weeks in delightful Perigueux, and having read the excellent reviews, we had saved this restaurant for our last night in town. We were not disappointed - it was the start of a memorable evening.

We were seated in a leafy courtyard with some interesting sculptures at a table with a small vase of fresh flowers. Our host, who was fluent in English, provided a detailed explanation of the excellent menu, whilst patiently tolerating my attempts to speak French. There was a range of interesting choices and we were impressed by the innovative inclusion of some unexpected and interesting ingredients in all three courses, including bright colours in some of the deserts.

All three courses of our meals were simply superb in all aspects - cooked to perfection, presentation, innovative use of ingredients, subtlety and balance of flavours, taste and size - and the wine recommended by the host was similarly excellent. Each dish was presented by a delightful young lady with an explanation of its contents delivered at our request in both French and English - warm, friendly, exemplary and attentive service.

We were impressed with the range and quality of the restaurants in Perigueux and Le Clos Saint Front was outstanding in all respects.
