Within the ‘Ville Close’ of the harbour fortifications there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. What you would like to find - a Breton creperie with character and delicious food, is not as easy to find.
The Creperie Le Pennti is just of the central square at 6 Place Saint Guenole. It has an attractive Breton stone cottage exterior, has an equally cottagey interior and on sunny days a lovely little courtyard garden with tables and chairs.
Our galettes and crepes were delicious and we washed them down with local cider from traditional Breton ceramic cups. 2 savoury galettes, a dessert crepe and a half pichet/jug of cider came to €23.30. Delicious food at a good value price.
