This restaurant is in a good location in the old town, and you can sit outside. Service is OK, although a bit perfunctory. Food was disappointingly average and the choice of seafood, in what is supposed to be the main fishing port of Brittany, limited. I had cold crab - just served with no frills and a pot of mayonnaise that had been standing around for some hours. Asked for another. My companion had pork slices with a generic gravy - equally unimpressed. Feel a bit bad slating their food, as I left my phone there - and they kept it for me, so they are very nice and friendly!

Lovely restaurant and very attentive friendly staff. I had mussels one of my favourite meals Penfret's offering was very very good I don't think I have ever had so many mussels the wife enjoyed a savoury crepe. Nice coffee good wine list and the beer selection was pretty good. Would definitely go again

Not many places were open on Concarneau so we basically ended up in the first one which was open. And it was a good surprise, the lunch menu offered fish soup or scallops for starter, then sardines with potatoes. Or pork for those who do not like fish. Plenty more to chose from on the regular menu.

In the Ville Close with a nice range of food and the best of all is the big boat with all good fresh seafood - langoustines, crab, snail etc. - the only extra you need is a nice bottle of Sancerre and a Coup Colonel as dessert!
