I would expect this impersonal attitude in Paris but not in Rennes. We arrived at 745 pm and were offered the only small table available in the bar/kitchen while several preferred tables remained empty all night long. Perhaps the staff mistook for Americans. In any event there was no excuse or apology extended. Food was OK but not exceptional. Fish serving was small and ordinary. Veal was acceptable. Desserts were uninspired. This was a surprising disappointment as the restaurant had been reviewed positively in the Rough Guide to Brittany.
