Very lively on a Wednesday night in April! Definitely reserve.... the interior is decorated like a wine cave and is beautiful and romantic. The staff is very helpful and willing to help in English or French. The food was unbelievably good, one of the best meals we have ever had. The coq au vin was an alternative to Beef Bourgignon, and was very lush.... chocolate mousse the best ever.

Three of us sat down to dinner here, the food and cooking is very traditional.
The service is very friendly, and the wine list is well priced.

We know several restaurants in Beaune but this was new and advised by our hotel.
Good choice, pleasant atmosphere, good service and good food and wines. The price quality relation is absolutely excellent, a high quality 4 course dinner for € 41,-- !!! My wife chose à la carte and was very satisfied.

I regularly stop in Beaune and always try to eat at this family run restaurant. Alas not always successfully, it books up quickly. The food is always fresh local produce and beautifully cooked. Menus cover three fixed price to a la carte. The fixed price are E24, E32 and E40. The wine list is made up of local Burgundy ones covering reasonable to very expensive and also unusually have a great list of halve bottles as well. Service is attentive without being intrusive. It’s always full and has a great buzz. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this beautiful old French town.

Rather disappointing. The starter was ok but the main course I had was a fillet of Saint Pierre (John Dory) on a bed of potatoes. The fish was overcooked and totally dry. My companion's monkfish was ok, but it was served on a bed of risotto which was more like rice pudding. The desert was ok. We will not return.
