On a cycle tour we had had a day of punctures and chain grease, so were glad to arrive at this hotel. We were given such a warm welcome, then shown around the hotel and given a map with a 10 minutes walk around the town. It was like arriving at a friends house. This is a 'boutique' hotel; the décor made me envious (even though I like my home). The room was comfortable, the breakfast fresh and plentiful and this hotel is right in the centre of Azay-le-Rideau so there is not far to go to sample the delights of chateau and shops. There were several cyclists when we stayed there - a small garage provides secure parking overnight.

This hotel existing for about 20 years and used to be a school in the past. the owner renovated it completely and created a very nice hotel. It is open all year long beside the winter time (which is mid-November until mid-March). There is no parking in the hotel, but the parking in the village is free and close by to the hotel. The owner of the hotel is very nice and willing to help for anything needed. The breakfast is amazing as well. we recommend about this place.

An excellent hotel in the middle of this pretty town. The owner/ manager is friendly and helpful and speaks English better than many French. We needed a room with handicap facilities for my wife and it was one of the best we have been in. Breakfast was very good and there is a very good restaurant nearby. This is closed on Mondays but we found another good one only a short walk away. The famous Chateau is about 2 mins from the hotel. Highly recommended

Room Tip: Very good disabled persons room

This lovingly restored schoolhouse-turned-boutique-hotel is located on a pedestrian street barely 100m from the chateau entrance in Azay-le-Rideau. Free parking was easy to locate and very close by. Our accessible ground floor room was in the girls' school annex. The room was a good size, combining modern conveniences with simple qntique charm. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom (shower only) was very modern. Our room faced the small courtyard and was so quiet that we were able to sleep with the window open. Breakfast, at 10 euro, was fairly typical of most hotels in France, but nice to see they use only locally-sourced products. Excellent Wifi. Bike storage in a small garage just across the lane. We only stayed one night but our experience was so positive that we wish we would have booked here for our entire 4-day holiday to the Loire Valley. The location, so close to the handy A-85 autoroute, means that you have easy access to all the important chateaux, even those further west to Amboise and beyond. At 92 euro per night for a double room, this lovely property offers fantastic value for money. I can't recommend it enough!

Stayed here for one night on our way from the Dordogne to the ferry. The hotel is a delightful place to stay in a picturesque little town. Very friendly staff and owners. Easy free parking around the corner, and our room was spacious and tastefully furnished. Several restaurants very close. A simple but tasty locally-sourced breakfast saw us on our way very content.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor, looking out on to the street - but the substantial shutters ensured privacy and quiet.
