“Best value for money! Would defintily stay here again!”
Reviewed September 24, 2011 for a stay in June 2011

My husband and I stayed here in June 2011 and really loved the place. The location is great and only a short walk away from the center of Reims. Our room was lovely decorated and even had a little kitchenette with fridge in it! There was also another large fully equipped kitchen downstairs for use! Free internet was a bonus too! Great courtyard for a relaxed lunch to enjoy a bottle of champagne or two. Would recommend to anyone!

“Comfortable and accomodating”
Reviewed September 16, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We found this place to be very charming and comfortable. The owner was genuinely very nice and friendly. She explained everything about the room and hotel and parking and then we were left alone. However she was always available by phone if we had any questions.
While the location is not smack in the city center, it is a short easy walk to the main grouping of restaurants in the city center. We appreciated the 8 min walk back after stuffing ourselves for dinner. We stayed in the loft on the top floor and used one bedroom, but there was plenty of room and it would be a good room for a family or for a group of 3 or 4 friends traveling. There are two bedrooms, tons of closet space, a small dining area and an additional sitting area with a sofa. The bathroom was large as well. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The view of the cathedral from the windows is spectacular.
If you ask for a restaurant recommendation, the owner will suggest La Table Anna and for good reason. We had a wonderful meal there and highly recommend it (The magret de canard was perfect).

One review commented on lack of a/c. We needed no a/c while there and the windows allow a good breeze to pass through but if it happens to be a really hot day I could see it being a little hot in the room late in the day.

Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone.

“Feeling at home away from home”
Reviewed July 31, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

La Parenthese is a 'Bed and Breakfast'. The hostess Brigitte is very warm and friendly.
The B&B is a complete house, the ground floor with a dining table, lounge room and kitchen is completely available for the guests. It made me really feel at home! A terrass outside to enjoy a breakfast, and a nice garden, very surprising in a city. Upstairs are a number of guest rooms. We stayed in 'CROQUIGNOLLE', a nice and lightly room.
Breakfast is simple but OK. You can take breakfast at any time after 8.15, and you can make your own coffee and tea.
La Parenthese is a lovely place, which I would recommend to everybody, especially because of the hospitality. You can always contact Brigitte if you need assistance or if you have a question.

“Fantastic - a little gem!”
Reviewed July 21, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

La Parenthese was a lovely surprise in the heart of Reims. Brigitte was very warm and helpful - especially given we had a few flight delays and as a result arrived quite late. We took our breakfast of baguettes, croissants and other goodies on the little sunny terrace which was the perfect way to begin a day of touring the Champagne houses. Brigitte provided us with some great recommendations for restaurants and help with directions. We stayed in the Clovis room which was large, quiet and comfortable, and the wifi worked perfectly. Would definitely stay there again when in Reims.

We arrived at La Parenthese, after a long flight from Australia, to a welcoming Brigitte. Our room was not quite ready, as we were early, but we parked our car in the convenient safe parking area provided and went for a long walk through Reims. The city centre is about 10 minutes from La Parenthese, which is quite a walk, but we didn't mind usually. The only time we would have preferred it to be closer was in the evening after dinner. La gite, which is a self-contained garden apartment, was great for a couple with a teenage daughter. The free wifi was extremely useful. We would have liked a shower as well as a bath in the apartment, but that was a minor issue. The breakfast was typical french croissants and fresh bread. Not outstanding, but ample to start the day. Having a coffee maker in the kitchen was great. The apartment had a self-contained kitchen, which was wonderful. One outstanding feature of the premises was the garden. It was a pleasure to sit there in the afternoon, with a cocktail. Brigitte was the perfect B & B hostess. Nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to make reservations to restaurants and recommend places to go. All in all, there could not have been a more pleasant place to stay to commence our French vacation. It is sad to leave a place with such a charming ambience.

“Family run B&B with cooking facilties”
Reviewed June 21, 2011 for a stay in June 2011

Had a lovely stay here in room Croquuignole, 2 nights, with our 5 month old daughter. The room is large and has a microwave, fridge, storage space and shower room, there is also parking if you book..note..cash only for payment. Very pleasant hostess. Not so sure about Reims, lacks identity - good if you’re into champagne. check carefully for recommendations for eating out, only found Restaurant Le Saint Julien good for a set 3 course lunch at £16/1. Watch out for drink prices..£4!! for 33cl coke etc seems to be normal.

“Delightful B&B close to Reims city centre”
Reviewed February 22, 2011 for a stay in February 2011

A lovely little B&B tucked away in Reims, about 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre. Our room was quiet, comfortable and very spacious, with a well-equipped mini kitchen in the corner. The rooms have free wi-fi and there's also a computer in the entrance area with free internet access. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming, and I would highly recommed this to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay in Reims. Excellent value too!
