This is the oldest hotel in Bastia, and it is really charming. We had a superior room with a balcony (room 215), and it was really nice and cosy. Not many modern amenities, perhaps, but we really enjoyed this place. The location is very central – it's an easy walk to the old town and the citadel.
When we checked in, they ensured us that the room did have a toilet! Some guests get confused because they can't immediately find it … The explanation is that the toilet is separate from the bathroom in a small space near the window/balcony. It's fine – it's just like a small room built into the room – just a little different!
The breakfast room is tiny. There is no breakfast buffet; instead serve you the breakfast individually.
The WiFi didn't work terribly well. We would have liked an electric kettle.
The staff speak English.
We loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again.More
