We discovered this restaurant just like that while walking on the street! I have tried a lot of japanese restaurants in paris but this one had value for money food!! The prices were reasonable and the food was really good. I am very selective about the sushis i like but this restaurant had good sushi!! I would definitely go there again!

Thank Anusha T

I normally don't write reviews in any of these sites, but really, this time I had to, because it simply was too ridiculous, it shouldn't even receive 1 star...
My girl friend and I went there because we saw this restaurant in a guide book... We went in courageously as there was no one in there, thinking "hmm, maybe we've just come in too early?" By the way, I am Japanese, was born there and lived in Japan for 10 years, so I have a sound perspective on Japanese food, especially sushi. Straight into the point... the food was honestly terrible, I have never had such a sushi nor food like this one before. Although the price is relatively cheap, the quality is just unexplainably bad. I thought the menu was very user friendly as it had pictures (which is always useful), but very limited, all you can pretty much see is 'salmon, salmon... oh, and theres another salmon..'
We ordered a sushi set and a grill set. Starting with the sushi, the rice's texture felt like the sushi rice has been already prepared many hours ago, each individual rice were stuck together making them into like a 'mochi' (the japanese rice cake) and the fish itself... Salmon was edible, tuna was pre-frozen, sea bass too. So as you can see, the quality of it was like one of those 'sushi lunch meal deals' you get in Waitrose or something like that (probably worse). On to the grill, salmon again was edible, and others, just tasted really effortless.. Of course I didn't expect an amazing quality, but this is just simply beyond poor near to unacceptable as a food lover. Plus, for reference, this shop is a Chinese owned Japanese restaurant, it is not run by a Japanese.
I sound really critical and picky in this, but please understand, this is how I really felt, and really, I am genuinely open minded about food, as I love food so much.
If you are looking for a great place to get proper japanese food in Paris, I suggest you go to Rue Ste-Anne near the Pyramides metro station. On this street, you can find flocks of proper Japanese restaurants, selling traditional ramen, donburi and other very japanesy dishes run by Japanese natives. My girlfriend and I ended up here that evening. This road is really amazing, so please do try wondering here, and I will assure you, your wallet and your stomach will be a planet more satisfied than Ta Sushi. Hope this helps, sorry for all the negativity, but had to be done...

In a city where bad Sushi is only too easy to come by, Ta Sushi offers a change from the usual overpriced, pre prepared 'Japonaise' cuisine. Admittedly, it is run by a Chinese woman (something that never fails to rub the Sushi snobs up the wrong way) so to call it truly authentic would be something of a mistruth, having said that, taste wise it matches up pretty well to most genuine places. The lunch offers are a steal, starting from 10 Euros 50 for a mixed hot and cold platter which always includes Miso soup, a salad and rice, prices don't go upward of 15 Euros at lunchtime and trust me, you will be pleasantly full afterwards. Inside is spacious, so queuing is never a problem and the woman who serves/owns never fails to greet you with a warm smile and an offer of a glass of hot Sake before you leave. Ideally situated in the second arrondissement in Paris, you are but a short post-lunch stroll away from Notre Dame and the Louvre.

The service here is excellent. We are traveling with a 1year old so it's always nice when staff acknowledge him. They were really accommodating. Food is yummy too! Will definitely be back.
