The hotel entrance is inside a courtyard and there is a main gate to the courtyard that they close late at night (past 8pm I think). So if you are checking in late PM, familiarize yourself with the streetside entrance and landmarks. The family room is furnished so you can cook or bring in take away food so you can eat in the comfort of your room. It' s spacious for the 4 of us and our luggage. There are also many different restos and shops nearby. We used the train a lot so it is good that the hotel is near the train station. Ask the hotel to book your taxi going to the airport. The rate is fixed so ask how much they charge.

We stayed here with our son during our 5 days in Paris. It was the perfect spot for all things. Close to the hop on hop off bus routes, Gallery Lafayette and numerous restaurants, boulangeries, fruit shops etc. We found it to be very quiet and safe and it is located on the most gorgeous little street. The apartment was looking a little tired but considering we were only there to sleep this did not bother us.

I am so thrilled to speak about the location of this place! It truly is great! If you are in town for party, food, and shopping, this is the place for you! It is located in the peatonal street of Rue Cadet which is filled with small restaurants and little mini fruit markets. It is cheerful day and night, but this doesn't mean a lot of noise. It's actually quite quiet and peaceful. It's also a very safe area. The hotel itself was very nice, and I loved the fact that there was a kitchen in my room, which saved me time and money (as I am vegan and often cook at home). The only thing I could say I didn't like was the bed. It looked like a queen bed, but in reality is was two tween beds put together. The problem with this is that if you move around at night, the mattresses move around and you fall in between the gap. This happened when my friend came to visit and she fell in the gap. Haha but other than that, they do offer breakfast and it's really nice! I would definitely stay there again. :-)

Dear Alison,

Thank you for your review. We are happy to know that you had a plesant time with us.

Concerning the beds, we take note of this. We will have a big renovation in the next few weeks and we should have real double bed in our bedrooms.

We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back.

The hotel itself is nicely located. We walked everywhere - 20 min to the Louvre, 20 min to Moulin Rouge. That part was great - there were problems with the room itself though...
Our room was #53 and it was on the 5th floor. The paint was peeling and the glass stove top was broken at the corner. The multicolor lights in the hall way was a bit weird along with the smell of mold in the elevator.
THe kicker for me was that this was advertised as a non smoking hotel - the last day there someone inside the hotel was smoking and our room became hazy and stunk. I went downstairs and the woman at the desk was not overly concerned.

Room Tip: The room we had looked NOTHING like the photo... choose a room not on the 5th floor

Dear Judie,

Thank you for your comment about your stay.

Concerning the rooms, we are very aware about the aging of our Appart Hotel. We will have a big renovation in a few month to renew the furnitures, redecorate, soundproof the appartments, improve our services...

Our Appart Hotel is non smoking as all the hotels in France. The receptionnist called him in his room to tell him to stop.

We hope that you enjoyed Paris and we will be pleased to welcome you after the renovation to appreciate the changes.

Best Regards,
Appart Hotel Cosy Cadet Team

I stayed here in May in a triple room with my mother and sister. We were very happy with the hotel and the location. The main room was large, and it was nice to have a kitchen. Always a bonus to have one room for the sink/shower and another for the toilet. We read about previous travelers' issues with noise but we did not have that problem. The street this hotel is located on is wonderful -- it is not a main thoroughfare, and it is full of restaurants, pastry shops, wine and cheese stores, grocers -- everything you might want or need! Very close metro stop (Cadet) made it convenient for getting anywhere you needed in the city. They were doing some construction out front but hopefully that will be done soon for future travelers. We felt very safe at night in the area, and it is nice that the hotel has a locked gate out front that you can only access with a key code after a certain hour. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our stay, and will definitely consider the Cosy Cadet again whenever we may return to Paris!

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor based on advice about noise, and had no problems at all.
