Wonderful markets, great inexpensive hotels, good restaurants, and stores. ATM close by. A relaxing walk in the evening. Good food, pastries, and crepes.

Pick up fresh bread, sandwich or wine this place has it all. So if near Eiffel Tower it's walking distance. We ate at one of the local restaurants and all I can say for price, service and food OMG. This street is a hidden treasure from the main tourist area.

Travel guru Rick Steves has done much to promote this lively street full of cheese markets, butchers, bakeries, fishmongers, wine shops and small grocery stores. While it is a great source of fresh food if one is living or staying in the 7th arrondissement, there are many other street markets that offer a more authentically Parisian experience. My husband and I shopped for provisions on Rue Cler many times during a two-week stay in a nearby apartment, using our expeditions to find meat, fish and fresh produce. There are several chain supermarkets of varying sizes on or near Rue Cler, and we found prices to be much more reasonable at these stores. I do recommend a visit, though, because this is such a great neighborhood within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower.

This is THE PLACE. People. cafes. great food. produce stands. a great feeling of Paris to be savored! Go - enjoy! If you want a cheap picnic - go shopping at Leader Price store (white front) and buy a baquette (bread), ham (jambon) and cheese (fromage) and wine and go to a nearby park to enjoy a picnic and watch he Parisians stroll by. Great cheeses and pastries.

Near of Eiffel Tower you find all kind of restaurants and shops on pedestrian zone.
I suggest fruit and legume shop TOPHALLES on the corner with Rue Grenelle and "traiteur asiatique" on proximity.
