We took a quick photo stop here before entering the St Sulpice church for a visit.

The square was relatively peaceful and not much of a crowd.

The St Sulpice Fountain is the large decorated central monument in St Sulpice Square (in front of the Cathedral). A quick but decent photo stop, in a relatively peaceful square.

A classic Parisian square with a beautifully decorated fountain.
A good place to sit for a few minutes during your Paris tourist tour.

On the way to St Sulpice church, this fountain is sure to get your attention. Blocky but majestic, it creates a nice atmosphere before entering the church. Someone should clean the dead pigeons out of the water however.

This is primarily a monument with a fountain around the base. Combined with the tree filled square, adding in the solid facade of the St Sulpice Church on a brilliant summers evening, all this provided for a scene of some character. Unfortunately whilst the low evening sun illuminated the church, it threw the fountain into shade so for any serious photographers I'd suggest an afternoon visit. Although this is quite a trendy area there was a "traveller" family hanging about trying some subtle begging which I cautiously ignored!
