My mother and I stayed at this boutique gem hotel back in Oct. Since it was fashion week we were lucky to book a 5*hotel anywhere at that time in Paris. We stayed for a week, for both of our birthdays, we have been taking trips for ages to celebrate.
The location is amazing, just off Champs-Élysées, right from where our chauffeur had dropped us off, we could see why it was recommended from our travel agent. Our luggage was taken care of right away, we were welcomed nicely.
Breakfast is served in a relatively small space compared to big hotels, but very cute with a glass ceiling, the weight staff is most attentive, the brekfast choices are of a great variety, and with a great choice of pastries too!
The room was beautifully decorated, very French, and most importantly very clean. Ours had an Eiffel tower view and a balcony. We were upgraded to the room with a view as a courtesy of the hotel for our birthdays.
A tea/coffee maker would have been nice, but you can request one, since I caught a cold, and it just wasn't worth making a fuss about, we like to be out anyways for most of the time. The elevator was broken down for a couple of days, but we were taken to another one so everything turned out nice.
And the best for last- the staff. They went above and beyond, it was our first time in Paris so naturally we had a lot of questions, every one of them was answered with a few more tips we wouldn't have known otherwise, to get the best out of the city of lights.

Dear Marija V,

Never too late when reading such a highly appreciative feed-back.

What a good idea to choose the Hotel Balzac to celebrate both birthdays and we are so pleased that your stay was up to your expectations. For the team this is the best reward and incentive to their constant effort to make each host very special and to anticipate their requests.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future to celebrate any happy events and perhaps your forthcoming birthdays.

Warm regards

Fantastic boutique 5 star hotel conveniently located one block from Champs-Elysee and two blocks from Arc de Triomphe. Staff was extremely accommodating. Slight disappointment with a rude guest who chose to have a phone conversation in the cocktail area via speakerphone. Front desk chose not to deal with it so we went to our room. Very disappointed with the lack of etiquette at a 5 star hotel. Other than that I would recommend.

Dear Landman142

Thank you for sharing this appreciative comment about your stay at the Hotel Balzac and about the team.

We are very sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience with this tactless guest. I have once again reminded front desk to follow my instructions to interfere in similar situations to preserve our hosts’ comfort and serenity.

We hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.
Best regards

This could be your honeymoon stay or special occasion. Book into president suite, you won't get disappointed with the view of Eiffel tower which is magnificent view from the balcony. It is an ideal to have breakfast in-room when it's not rain.
The location is superb, only 2 minutes walk to Champs elysees avenue and probably another 2 mins to Arc De Triomphe.
Staff is very friendly, sufficient and well inform. This is a truly 5 stars hotel.

Room Tip: President room 501

Lobby and front desk area was really nice. Our view was at the back of some buildings. Sink didn't drain well. Diverter knob in the shower fell out. There is this sort of fixed glass shower door in the tub shower that only covered half the tub so water got everywhere when you took a shower. And the toilet couldn't even flush down a single piece of toilet paper by itself. Good property aside from the plumbing issues.
