I had a nice experience the with my wife. The band was top quality and the service also very good. They could have a better equipment and a cleaner toilet, but its a nice place anyway.

With history on its side, a place frequented by great writers Orson Welles, Jean Sartre, it is a Jazz treat on Sunday nights!! Off the cool and interesting conversations to look forward to, the basement is cozy with various jazz musicians jamming. Great place, and very interesting people to meet... a must

We went to this club on a Tuesday night and were surprised at how great the place was. Don't let the rock bar look put you off as the jazz is located down the stone stairs into the cave. Great atmosphere and the band 'the big hustle' were fantastic. Sporadic dancing and the guest singers added to a really enjoyable night. Band started around 11.15pm - finished around 2.00am. Free entry and small mark up on drinks in basement was a small price to pay. I went with my brother (spending a few days in Paris to watch Ireland in the Euros) but suitable for couples and groups of all ages (over 18!)

We are staying nearby and read about this bar, so we went there after dinner on a Sunday night. What a great place! The club is all the way down an old stone staircase and it is tiny. However, the music is big and we had the pleasure of listening to a set of blues led by Big Dez, an American doing this for many years, as well as a guest saxophonist from Detroit. It was a pure delight. The crowd was a nice size and there is no cover. What more can you ask for? Highly recommended.

Loved the live jazz and blues down in this little "cave". The performers were French but were performing in English when we visited. Strong drinks, live music, good atmosphere!
