Location: there are two metros near by, as well as a bus stop. It takes around 8-12 minutes walking to get to them. There's a small 24 hr. store just next to the hotel with good prices on snacks, soft drinks and beer. There isn't much to do in that area though.

Rooms: our room was on the 4th floor. It had good space. The floor carpet seemed dirty, though. Bathroom was ok, but there was no hot water, which was not ok. You could hear your neighbors leaving their rooms, walking down the hallway, as well as your upstairs neighbors.

Wifi: their wifi was extremely weak, really bad wifi. Each floor has a router, don't know why because the connection was awful. It would take forever just to connect, then once ypu were.connected it was really slow or just drop. It took me almost everyday I stayed there, about 30 minutes for my phone to connect. The lobby's wifi is weak, as well.

Breakfast: literally just bread, and jelly or butter. Coffe, juice and water.

Staff: staff members were so so.

This hotel is disappointing, rough round the edges. Noisy with thin walls and doors, no tea and coffee making facilities, dirty towels and too few for one each in the room. One pillow per person, tiny tv on the top of a wardrobe. Shower variable in temperature. It's a shame, because the building is actually a historical, formerly grand building, but it had been run down by this Riley hotel. Beware of the car parking nearby - 39.95 euro for 24 hours. It is quite close walking distance to Gare du Nord.

Stayed there twice during on 6/12 & 11/12 in room 29. Lobby is small for us (30 friends). Reception is curt and disorganized. Lift is small ( 5 adults only with luggage). Breakfast is minimal and the same daily (bread, cereal, milk, croissants, rolls). Lights are motion activated (we were greeted with dark hallways upon exiting lift). Decor is dated and needs TLC badly. Mouse in room 28. 20" TV is 8 feet from floor. 5 minute walk from Barbes-Rochechouart subway. Rough neighbourhood peddling dubious ciggies at 7pm. Souvenir shops and minimarket 1 min walk . Comes with safe, table. shower cubicle, cupboard, heater, mini fan, chair, foot wash.

The owners were very rude. They told me off for accidentally not switching my tv off! On our last morning, I woke up to drops of water on my face! The ceiling was leaking above me from someone's dirty shower water - eek!!

Cheapest in town ..Though small in size, our room had all amenities like electronic safe , cupboard bathrooms were also equipped with a basic stuff required for a weekend tourist . The location of property seems to be safe and is near to the garu de nord and garu de est train stations . There are lot of restaurants around (Including few Indians) . Breakfast served had varieties and was delicious . Lot of information related to tourism is available in terms of pamphlets , brochure , time tables etc. Also computer is available at reception . Pleasant staff helped us a lot with Early check ins , city tours , shopping , Bag keeping etc . You may find the property little and needs little maintenance but it is surely not unhygienic or unsafe . Wifi speed was also ok . Moreover what else a typical weekend tourist needs (That too an Indian) in such small price of stay ?
