“Excellent stay!”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

Hotel de Varenne has made our stay in Paris even more enjoyable. The rooms and bathroom are very clean and beautiful. The outside and inside of the hotel is very Parisienne. The front desk personnel is formal, but very curteous. The hotel offers breakfast for additonal 10 Euros. We opted out of breakfast and instead dined on lovely croissant and cafe latte in the bakery just down the street from the hotel. The hotel's locations is perfect. 5 minutes from the Metro, 5 minutes from the Rodin Museum and 10 minutes from Napoleon's tomb and Military Museum. Eiffel Tower is only 20 minute walk away. I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Paris. It might not be ideal for families with small children. Another plus are two grocery stores just across the street from the hotel where you can get your water and snacks. Another great plus is a small hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant - Lotus Blanc,up the street from the hotel. Try it and you will not be disappointed.

I've recently stayed at Hotel Varenne for 2 nights. Location is excellent. 5 mins walk from the metro station (Varenne). When you come out of the metro and look to the left, you can see the Eiffel tower. The hotel is about 10 mins walk to Musee Rodin and 30 mins to Eiffel tower. Once you get on the metro, nothing seems too far.

Check-in and check-out process was super speedy. Receptionists were pleasant.

Our twin room on the first room was spacious especially for Paris, clean, and quiet. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was unusually large! Heated towel rack, bathtub, scale and Lanvin toiletries were provided.

The courtyard with tables is cute. Reception area is cosy and comfortable.

Great little hotel with central location and comfy room.

Yes we enjoyed it.
We did not hesitate a long time when we read all these good reviews. This was definitely great choice.
The location, near Musee Rodin is fantastic. We found many treasure addresses in the area following the advices of the reception staff.
Our room was quiet, clean and we loved the "old fashion" decoration. The comfort of the bed is second to none.
The real plus of this hotel is the kindness of the entire staff, particularly at the reception. Before our check out they proposed to print our boarding passes !
We loved and we will be back.

We experienced a very pleasant week in Paris, coming from Brasil for holidays in France.
Everybody speaks english which seems to be unusual in Paris, this helped us a lot
The staff is very professional and friendly, always willing to please.
Our rooms were comfortable, freshly renovated and very quiet. The value is very good too.
The location is excellent. Close to everything and away from the noise of the city.
We will recommend it to our friends.

I normally am use to traveling at really nice 5 star resorts with my family..however, since this last trip to Paris was on my budget plan I had to downgrade. I have seen some hotels at this price that are pretty bad, but this hotel was nice. It's not some huge luxurious hotel don't get me wrong, but it's pretty and clean and safe. It's in a good area. Not dangerous but not too pricey. You can run to Eiffel Tower as well as Le Louvre. There is also a fabulous patisserie a few doors down to the left and a 1 Michelin Star restaurant two doors to the right. You are close to St. Germain, which has great shops and restaurants. The hotel didn't have room service or a stocked mini-bar and you could not order movies which kind of was a bummer. But if you don't plan on spending a ton of time at your hotel it's a good place to rest. It was very clean. I would definitely suggest it to others. :)

Stayed here for 3 nights in feb. good location, breakfasts were a little bit overpriced but what you would expect. Had a lovely stay until the 2nd day - had builders drilling outside our room for over an hour, very noisy and we had been out all day so wanted to rest. Upon calling reception I was hung up on twice which to me is appalling customer service. Nice little hotel apart from the drilling and banging

Dear Guest,
I would like to thank you for taking time to post a review about our hotel.
You are perfectly right, we had some renovations last week. I am so sorry you have been disturbed with the noise. We always pay attention not to start before 10.30 a.m. in the morning and to finish before 5 p.m. in order to let our guest as quiet as possible.
These renovations had to be done to improve the quality of our service and the comfort of our rooms. They are finished now.
Once again please accept my apologizes for the inconvenience. I will be happy to welcome you again to discover our brand new comfortable rooms.
Kind regards.

We stayed here last summer and the rooms were clean and comfortable. While we didn't opt for the breakfast, there were a number of small bakeries and grocery stores close by. The location, very near to the Rodin museum, was ideal for walking and catching the metro.
