Our stay at Bellevue Hotel Montmartre in Paris was excellent! Samb and all the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The location is also great. Breakfast is an added bonus and was lovely with croissants, boiled eggs, coffee, juice, deli slices, fruit, etc..Perfect for the wallet and to get ready for a beautiful day in a beautiful city-Paris.

We have no complaints at all and will book again upon our return. Thank you Samb and staff! You helped make our first time in Paris wonderful!

Mercí beaucoup,
Brenda et Ruby

We've stayed here several times, so this review is based on more than a one-off visit. The location is very handy for Barbes-Rochechouart and Anvers metros, and Gare du Nord isn't much more than 10 minutes walk. The bottom station of the funicular railway up to the Sacre Coeur is a couple of minutes round the corner and up the hill, and once there you're into the main tourist part of Montmartre, with Place de Tertre and Sacre Coeur further up the hill via the funicular (or nearly 300 steps) or a short walk through to Abbesses.

On arrival, the staff are very helpful and friendly, with English spoken if required. Make sure you get a wi-fi voucher to get onto the hotel's free wi-fi. There is a lift up to the upper floors, as well as stairs. The lift is small, so anything more than two people with luggage is a squeeze.

The rooms are comfortable and have en-suite shower and toilet. We've only used double rooms, so I can't comment on any other accommodation, but the beds are almost too comfortable at times. The basic nature of the rooms means that there is a shortage of storage space for clothes and luggage, so the room can look a bit untidy during the stay. The daily room service manages to work around the various piles of stuff to do a decent job of replacing the bedding and towels etc. There's a small desk and a tv on the wall, but not a lot else.

Given the location, there is nothing much of a view. The front rooms look across to the building on the other side of the road. The rear rooms look over an enclosed courtyard. A bonus on our visit this week was that the large shop across the road had been converted into a two level Franprix supermarket. The road outside is busy during the day, as it's a commercial area, but that is completely turned around at night when the area is very quiet and almost deserted with very little background noise to disturb the night's sleep. The hotel reception is manned 24/7 so there's no hassle with curfews, but we've not experienced much evidence of late night noise from returning guests.

If you're after a decent budget hotel in Montmartre, Hotel Bellevue is well worth a look.

Really convenient location, close to the Metro and the Gare de Nord is only a 15 minute walk. Our room was basic, a bit compact but very clean and the en suit shower was spot on. Room was maintained well by the maid. The hotel reception was always nice and fresh and the reception staff were really pleasant, helpful and really accomodating to any requests. Booking in is at 3 o clock but bags can be left in a supervised corner of reception. Plenty of varied eating places, three supermarkets and a boulongerie on your doorstep. We did not opt for the breafast. For Paris a good value for money no frills hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking over the entry street.

I stayed here for five days during a professional conference. The hotel provided everything advertised. The main advantages are an excellent location right at the foot of the famous Montmartre hill, and that you can often get a decent room quite cheaply, compared to the usually expensive prices of hotels in Paris in general.

Do not expect great luxury, and be aware that rooms are in general smaller than elsewhere in a city as large as Paris, this hotel being no exception. That said, my room was functional and comfortable, and almost all of it had recently been renovated. Only a few items (e.g. writing table, ventilation system) looked like being in use for a longer time, but nothing was broken. The bed was of good quality.

A city like Paris is noisy in general at night, so it's good that the hotel is not located on a main street. A few cars do pass even through this small street at night, but the multiple glazing of the windows reduces the noise to low levels.

Service was always friendly and efficient. The quality of the WiFi network was quite acceptable, i have seen worse in some more expensive hotels.

So, it's a reasonable choice if you search a simple but comfortable place to sleep that isn't too expensive, both for tourist or business traveller purposes.
