The Le Robinet D'or is an amazing hotel close to Gare Du Nord about 10 to 15 minutes walk staff were very friendly and most helpful. This was the 4th hotel we had stayed in this trip in Paris starting and finishing a tour, but by far the most unique. We had a room on the 3rd floor as there is no lift you had to walk up and down his spiral staircase for us it was not a problem the staff were Fantastic grabbed our bags and off they went round about 30 kg each bag. Room and bedroom were spotlessly clean bed was great and we had a view of the street below coffee and tea mashine nice touch. We had dinner in hotel restaurant which was so good, this hotel is excellent value for money would recommend to everyone.

I have been to the Robinet d'Or on two occasion, first time solo for work, second time for pleasure with a friend. I love it, it's such a lovely hotel. It's not big so you are really well taken cared of by the staff. It is located at a 15 min walk from Gare du Nord where the Eurostar arrives and 3 min away from Gare de l'Est where there is an metro station.

I'm French but the friend who came with me the second time is not and the staff always made a lot of efforts to speak English so my friend could understand what was going on, whether for the Hotel side of Le Robinet, or the restaurant.

The rooms are lovely, clean with all the necessary accessories provided (towels, shower cap, great soaps from l'Occitane and a hairdryer !). If you are lucky, you have a view on the amazing mural of "The Robinet d'Or" (the Golden Tap !). The rooms are well isolated so it's a very calm atmosphere.

Breakfast is great, amazing bread, fresh orange juice, eggs, ham and cheese, and obviously some delicious croissants and pain au chocolat.

About the restaurant : great French food for at an affordable price (considering the quality and the content of the menu). I advise to try the 30 € menu which includes Foie Gras, yummy Chocolate cake and some great meat or fish selection. Very nice selection of wine as well.

I recommend both the Hotel and the Restaurant, they are fantastic with a great customer service.

The stuff was really friendly and helpful, the food in restaurant was excellent but one thing - we took the menu and the portions are way too big! We ate the first course and already were full, even my husband :D So there were no room for dessert....But the taste was so good and the wine of course too :)
Room was very clean, at first it was cold but we turned the heat on and it went warmer. Bed was very comfortable. Okey, the noise outside on saturday midnight and early in the Sunday morning was not so nice but when you are not with kids, then you´ll survuve ;)

Dear Madam,

Many thanks for choosing our hotel restaurant Le Robinet d’Or. I am glad to read that you had a good overall experience among us. Our Chef de cuisine is happy to see that you enjoyed his food and wine selection. Our guests usually especially appreciate the generosity of the portions at the restaurant.

And next time, please don’t hesitate to ask for a room overlooking the inner courtyard if you are looking for the quietest rooms. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

We look forward to welcoming you again along the Canal Saint Martin soon,

Sincerely,
A. Sehrine, Hotel Owner

Let's start with the good things first: the hotel staff were friendly and helpful (and happy to look after our luggage), and the hotel is both close to Gare du Nord and the Saint-Martin Canal. Our room was reasonably large, clean and very comfortable. We had the ground-floor room, which is entirely wheelchair-accessible. We had a very pleasant stay.

But. There are a lot of niggles:
i) the en-suite was a wet room, but the shower drain was not the lowest point of the floor, and the shower had no curtain. This meant that there was no way of showering without flooding the bathroom (since water that splashed outside the immediate shower area would not run towards the shower drain)
ii) our room was next door to the loo used by the bar area, and had one of those high-speed hand driers, which you could hear through the wall until relatively late in the evening
iii) the air-conditioning unit didn't usefully chill the room; it wasn't too hot outside, so this wasn't a big issue, but I could find no way to turn its coloured light off, which blinked annoyingly all night
iv) one of the power sockets didn't work. Again, not a big thing, but hotels never have enough to charge phones etc., so having one non-functional was a bore

I'm afraid we didn't eat any meals in this hotel, so I can't comment on them.

Room Tip: Ground-floor room is wheelchair accessible (but shower is annoying)

Hotel breakfast is to die for. Our room was charming, full kitchen, sitting area, large bathroom and large bedroom. We could have easily slept four and been comfortable. The windows opened to a charming center courtyard, lush geraniums were planted in window boxes. So amazingly picturesque.
