From the outside, you might not notice at first glance this small restaurant which is one of Paris references for Moroccan food: it actually took me some time to notice it while I was living right by it! Once discovered, it has been one of my favorite places for food in Paris, and though I now have moved away, I still love to come and stop by when I am around. Magdi and his wife Fatima are well known in the neighborhood for their hospitality, their kindness, and the quality of their food – always serving you as if “à la maison”. It is the reference of Pere Lachaise district for traditional home-made Moroccan taste, cooked and served with quality ingredients selected by Fatima. Warmly recommended for a peasant delicious break when coming around !

I loved both, the food and the reception of Argana. Their pastilla de poulet was fantastic amongst other dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant to marocain food fans.

We went on a Monday at lunch time, and the place was empty. Even so, the service was really good and the place was cozy. The food was delicious. We asked for the menu of the day, and a special chicken. We shared, so I can tell you that everything that was served was delicious. I totally recommend this place. I love how you can find a great diversity of delicious cuisines in Paris, and this Moroccan restaurant was no exception. I also want to mention that I loved the colorful plates where the food is served, makes the whole experience so authentic.

My better half has often spoken of a delicious Morroccan restaurant based in Paris 20eme. Upon when we go to the restaurant and as we began to eat, I urge him wide eyed : 'why has it taken you a year to take me here?!' He smiled, then we both smiled as the food was everything I wanted, honest sumptious, flavourful. It felt nourishing and wholesome to eat. Mulled spiced vegetables in warm autumn tones and fluffy soft couscous, gentle and fragrant with enough spice for more just add the harissa. The couple owning the restaurant were kind, warm and free of pretence. I found the place refreshing, the opposite of so many snobby expensive places abundant in this city. I wish them every blessing and would definietly go there again.
