One of the best culinary experiences ever! Exceptional down to the very last detail. We booked a table five weeks in advance, ordered the three course lunch and it did not disappoint. We thought there was an error because new dishes kept being presented - seemed like much more than a three course meal. Everything was just lovely - highlight of our trip. Exceptional doesn't quite cover it - magnificent!

L'Astrance is a restaurant worth the time to carefully make either lunch or dinner reservations well in advance of your visit. Once there, enjoy the well thought out courses and definitely opt for the wine pairing with your meal. There are many photos of L'Astance's signature dishes online. My favorite was the first course paper-thin cut white mushroom layered with paper-thin apple slices then layered with pate. Repeat until the dish is about four inches high then cut it into a slice that looks like an apple pie piece! L'Astrance is out of this world and I am so glad I was able to experience L'Astrance!!!! Merci, Chef!

I am not a foodie, and rarely remember meals. My preference is generally quantity over quality, and a multi course menu is my kryptonite. Why spend more than you need to for a basic necessity, and why should something as silly as starts impact the food you eat and $ you pay?!

L'Astrance changed my mind and taste buds on fine dining. Our meal was an experience, but not in a manner where your judgement is clouded by the environment or glamour of the moment. You are wowed by the simple, yet complex flavors of the food and not the poshness of the environment or extravagance of the ingredients. I felt every bite had a meaning, and every $ spent on the meal was focused on the food, and that is what really matters. I am not going to claim this meal changed my life, and really, how can any food really do that. But L'Astrance did open my eyes to what a near perfect meal and fine dining should be - a celebration of ingredients, taste, and innovation.

Hidden away on a side street in Paris is an amazing restaurant! I was blown away by the food, service and attention to detail. I'm not sure how many stars this place has, but it deserves 5 in my opinion. They very best bread I've every eaten and one of the top presentations you could expect. Great place!

Astrance offers a "degustation menu" only, so we were in for a surprise. We opted for the wine pairing and the extra truffle (small portion). The flavors of the menu mixed well, but overall the dishes offered were a little bit too experimental, with texture and colors more wholesome than the taste itself.
The restaurant is small, cozy, the decor tasteful and colorful. The service is efficient but interestingly playful as well. We were asked to guess the ingredients of one of the dishes (and to try to place the different wines in the wine tasting menu), which was very interesting (and fun). It was the high point of our dinner so much different from the sometimes aloof feeling one gets in other 3 michelin stars.
We will probably visit Astrance again but will not have the (overpriced) extra truffle next time.
