This small studio flat was ideal for our 4 nights in Paris. One adult and 2 teenage kids were plenty for such a compact space. The apartment has been cleverly renovated and decorated. Despite its size it has everything you might need. The host, Marie, has a great eye for detail. She's also very hospitable and friendly.
The location is great - so central, very near Pompidou centre and Marais. Although in a busy part of the city, the flat is quiet and very secure.
One word of warning - if you're tall, the mezzanine floor may not be for you.
A delightful and spotless apartment perfectly positioned to explore Paris. Marie was a warm and generous host - merci beaucoup Marie!
The location of this studio apartment was perfect for our 3 day Paris stay. It is very accessible to a Metro stop and has a grocery store and restaurants right around the corner. The owner, Marie, was very communicative and welcoming. We had everything we needed: hair dryer, clean towels, clean sheets, hot water, refrigerator, utensils, tea kettle, wine opener :) , dishes , drinks and chocolates. It was so nice to be able to stop at the market and get picnic supplies for a meal or snack and be able to prepare our meal at the flat. We needed to sleep 3 people and it was perfect for us. The two teenagers took the double bed in the loft and I slept on the pull out couch. There was even a fan in the closet for my need of white noise when I sleep:) There are stairs going up to the apartment and up to the loft bed so if you have physical disabilities, this will not be the place for you. For us, it was perfect and safe! There are 4 locked entrances between the street and the apartment!! I am very frugal so being able to eat a lunch or a dinner of fresh food from the market and have my morning coffee was extremely important!
I would stay here again if I ever get back to Paris!! Thanks Marie for the wonderful hospitality!
We stayed in Marieś apartment for 10 days during September. The best features of this rental property is the location, close to a metro station with easy access to the main points of interest in Paris, and the comfortable bed we slept on.
We appreciated very much that Marie was in constant communication with us during the days before our trip. She had also been waiting for us outside the apartment when we arrived so we were very happy to settle in quickly after a long journey.
The only complaint that we had was that the fridge was not working. Marie knew about this issue before our arrival. She told us there was a new fridge in the apartment that had to be installed shortly. After the first day we asked Marie about the installation and she responded that she did not know when the new fridge was going to be set up. Our stay would have been perfect had we had a fridge to store essential foods, something that everybody considers when renting an apartment.
Overall we recommend this property to anybody looking to spend time in Paris.
We stayed at this apartment in October 2017. Marie was a wonderful hostess. She was very fast to respond to any questions we had leading up to our arrival and during our stay. The apartment was adequate for the 4 people we had staying (even a 6ft+ man). I really appreciated how welcoming Marie was when we arrived. She welcomed us at the front door even helping with our luggage! The apartment is in a great, yet busy, neighborhood. I really felt safe while staying here and appreciated the key-fob system used to enter through the main door, gate, and door to the building, before arriving at the main apartment door. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Paris.
We stayed here in September 2017 for a 3-day trip to Paris. From the moment of the booking right up until arrival, the owner Marie was in frequent contact and would reply very quickly to any questions or queries I had, which was highly re-assuring we made the correct choice booking this apartment. Additionally, our flight to Paris was delayed and Marie changed her plans to accommodate this which was highly appreciated; going above and beyond to ensure she was there to greet us when we arrived.
When we did finally arrive, Marie gave us a warm friendly welcome and showed us to the apartment, which is accessed through 3 separate secure doors that require a key-fob entry which made us feel very safe, given the busy central area we were staying in.
The apartment itself is small and quirky but endearing. It had everything we need to make our stay pleasant and there was also food and refreshments left for us by Marie which was a nice touch.
At 6 foot 2, navigating upstairs was challenging due to the low ceiling height, but I didn't find this too much of a problem and was actually quite amusing and in character with the style of this apartment!
Marie would always be at the end of the phone if we needed her for any reason, and on our day of departure she allowed us to stay until 6pm which was great as if we were staying in a hotel we would have had to check-out much earlier than this which would have been inconvenient for us.
Aside from the above, one of the best features of this apartment is the location. Right in the centre of the bustling and vibrant Le Marais which we loved exploring, and a short walk to a handful of subway stations, including Chatelet which can take you anywhere in Paris, and to and from the main airport.
Overall I'm very happy with our stay in this nice little apartment and our experience was completed by our excellent host Marie, and the fantastic central location. If we're back in Paris we'll be booking again. Thanks Marie.
Everything we wanted to visit was in walking distance, which was ideal - hundreds of local restaurants on our doorstep and the apartment was excellent and we plan to return. Our metro transfer from the train station took about 10 - 15 minutes, so we settled very quickly in the apartment after our Eurostar journey.
Marie was very welcoming and our stay was very memorable.
