What a gem. A cheese shop with 12 covers that enables you to sit and sample a platter and buy the wine on sale (add a corkage fee to the shelf price). I recommend you book as soon filled whilst we were there. Delightful and knowledgable service.

We had read great reviews before coming and were not disappointed. My boyfriend and I had booked for 7pm on a Saturday night (definitely need to book as there’s only 6 tables and people were getting turned away!). It’s quite casual like a deli but was also very intimate. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and catered to one of us being vegetarian - swapping some meat for extra cheese. He recommended us a delicious Chablis to go with the cheese he picked out for us and it was absolutely incredible! We were worried it wouldn’t be enough for a full dinner but it was very filling. The lovely lady who worked there also recommended us some cocktail bars to visit afterwards and was not disappointed (Jefrey’s was lovely, thank you!). Highly recommend a visit here :)

Whilst at first you may feel that you’re in a deli, it was only a matter of moments before the staff and food took us into a different world. Just magical.

Thoroughly knowledgable staff that gave us not just advice but also a tour of both the wine and cheese options. The staff were incredible helping us choose the wine at the start, which is very reasonably priced.

Following this, we opted for the charcuterie board to be selected by the staff. It was absolutely incredible! The best cheeses I’ve ever tasted, and the meats complimented them well. Clearly chosen by people who are well informed and who love their culinary vocation.

There’s a reason this features so high on here - a must for visitors and locals alike - I will be back.

We had lunch at this restaurant and it was the best meal we had in Paris. The restaurant is very nice and cosy. The person in charge was very friendly, she told us about all the types of cheese, recommended some great wines and put together two great plates with different types of cheese and jambon, which were to die for. This is a must go to restaurant in Paris.

There are a lot of places in Paris, fancy and not, where you can get some wine and cheese when the spirit moves you. Let me try to capture this place should be at the top of your list to scratch that particular itch.

It is NOT among the fancy choices. Contemporary, clean and bright, it is built to serve your cravings efficiently. Friendly, too--Galina (cheese--and sliced meats) and Altan (wine) know their chosen areas and are there to make sure you are well served with a really good selection of food, and that you'll learn, if you wish, a little something in the process.

We had a nice seat by the wall of wine bottles, none of which were excessively expensive, with a generous selection by the glass. For variety's sake, that's the way we went and Altan guided us through several great glasses of red various red varietals, each of which was an excellent representative of it's kind (the Grenache was the best I've ever tasted). At the end, I asked him to pick out his three favorites among the bottles on the wall and he did so, none of them exceeding 40 Euros. After some conversation about them all, his recommendation was for a Cab Franc that was half that much. When we opened it the next night, I found he had nailed my preferences exactly.

What about the cheese (and those meats)? Galina asked us our preferences and, hearing that we preferred goat and sheep cheeses, she composed a plate of Trefle, Pont l'Eveque, Casanu and Tomme du Berry (truffles!) that pleased at every turn, and she supplemented it on the meat side with some Rosette de Lyon salami, dried pork and a Corsican Coppa that was out of this world! As Altan did with the wines, she highlighted the virtues that led her to make each choice and we enjoyed learning from her.

During a stay in Paris that included several Michelin restaurants, one of them a three-star, we enjoyed no meal more than this one. We think you will treasure your time with Altan and Galina, as we did, and that, should you choose to eat at Fromagerie Danard on your next trip to Paris, you will think of it and them whenever you experience a wine and cheese craving in the future. Relax and enjoy!
