This hotel has utilised every inch of space to the disadvantage to the hotel guests! Our room was ridiculously tiny, you had to be extremely intimate as even the bathroom door wouldn't shut! But saying that, the toilet was positioned in such a way that if you did shut the door, your knees were crushed. the sink overlapped the toilet so that added to the farce, the only plus was a nice hot shower after travelling for so long.
Views of a derelict building from our room were awful, but I suppose there's nothing the hotel can do about that.
On the plus side, it has underground parking and is central. The bar area is warm which was great as it was Xmas time and snowing/sleeting outside and minus 2! the staff are very sweet but when asked if we could have a bigger room, she said they are all the same size!
Such a shame as we were really looking forward to staying in Carcassonne.
We wouldn't come back.
