The location was great; the rooms are large, bright, renovated and very clean. The owner at the front desk was not rude but barely civil at any time. Never was any information given or any suggestion made as to where to go or where to eat while in Montpellier.

The breakfast was a joke for the price (8 – 11 Euros each), particularly when you can walk two blocks to the square, and for half the price get a real breakfast (with a smile). Asking for only coffee in the morning (which we had to pay for) seemed to be a big deal, and forget about getting milk for the coffee, as the owner expected us to use powdered milk for the 2 Euros per cup! Not sure what the issue is, but I would not recommend the Hotel d’Aragon to anyone, especially the gay traveler.

The nicest and only English speaking person there was the chamber maid!!! Always with a smile and a sweet disposition!!!

Hotel d'Aragon is in the heart of the city of Montpellier, immediately off Place de la Comedie. The rooms are very large by European standards and the furnishings rather nice. I believe most, if not all, rooms have large French windows that open to a small balcony. The bathrooms were particularly good and were spotlessly clean. It's apparent that the owners have gone to great trouble to make each room unique and create a boutique atmosphere at their property.

The breakfast looked to be sifficient, though rather expensive. We chose to walk the two blocks up to the Place de la Comedie to eat at Brasserie 1786 - very good.

The hotel provides internet access and there is a computer in the lobby for guest's use.

In the evening, our walk back along the hotel's little street was marred by a couple groups of local college students who'd had too much to drink and were loudly walking back to their cars. We never felt threatened, but more, a bit uncomfortable.

There is no staff to greet guests after 10pm and lobby entry after that time is gained by a security code provided at check-in.

The Hotel d'Aragon is a great place to stay if you want to be near of the center (less than 100 mt) and have a quiet sleep.

The rooms are ample and well decorated. The bathroom have amenities well above average.

The people at the hotel is ready to help and give you some useful addresses to dine or visit.

A place to repeat!
