I followed TA recommendation and visited Hanoi. It was a delightful dinner and the brothers there serving were extremely helpful and gave excellent advice on dishes. The restaurant is 40+ years and had been run and served by the family. That's why the good food quality continues. The spring rolls and the beef on a hot plate are must try. Nice good alternative if you want a food change. Recommended.

Had enough French food during our trip so decided on something a little different - used to great Vietnamese in London but this was some of the best we've had! Siu mai and the fresh summer rolls were delicious - ordered two rounds! Restaurant atmosphere and decoration was great and the staff were absolutely lovely - very happy to help us translate the menu and attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Value for money was excellent as well.
Would be going here every week if we lived here!

We thought we would try this restaurant as a counterpoint to French cuisine. The interior is really very nice, a charming Asian atmosphere. We had a 12.50 euro lunch menu and we were pleased with the food which was fresh, copious and flavorful. The service was so friendly and warm that we deemed the whole experience a great success.

There are lots of Vietnamese restaurants in Nimes but as it was one of the top recommendations out of 384 other restaurants on Trip Advisor we chose this one. The restaurant is a little outside of the main center of Nimes, it's not too far to walk but tricky to find it without directions in this slightly run down part of the town. It's only a small restaurant so we booked a table because it was a Saturday evening in August, but like many restaurants in Nimes that night it was busy but not full. The decor is very traditional and reminded me of 1980 English Chinese restaurants. Everyone working there are very nice, welcoming and attentive. I was already familiar with Chinese, Thai, Cambodian and South Korean food but didn't really know what kind of food we would get at a Vietnamese restaurant. The menu looked to be a mixture of Vietnamese and Chinese food so we tried to order items with Vietnamese names, such as Vietnamese crab salad and special Hanoi beef on a hot plate. These were both very good, but not too unusual, so we were pleased we could spice/heat up the dishes by adding the sauces and dips available. However, by far, our favourite dishes were the steamed pork and prawn raviolis starters which were the best dim sums we have ever eaten in any Asian restaurant. The wine selection was good and a lovely bottle of local rose wine at 14 euro was good value - as was the whole meal.
