I was certainly expecting better food than I had, after reading the reviews. The "Imperial" rolls (fried nem wrapped in lettuce) were mediocre, and had an odd taste. They reminded me of Chinese rolls with canned bamboo shoots, which give a weird, almost metallic taste.

I had gambas with mixed vegetables; the dish was "blah," and lacked flavor though the vegetables were plentiful and fresh. We skipped dessert; the coffee was very good.

The food here is better than most Chinese/Vietnamese food in Provence, which is rarely worth eating. But after eating in San Francisco and Vietnam, I think that "Hanoi" has a way to go. It is a decent place for a Provencal town, but nothing more.

As everyone said, the service is friendly and helpful. The two course lunch meal took nearly two hours. The server asked if we found the wait too long, and after I replied "yes," he explained that everything was prepared fresh. But still, two hours is too long.

Stopped here after reading all the great reviews and because we fancied something a little bit different. We definitely weren't disappointed! Not far out of the main centre at all (we stopped off between visiting the cathedral and the Jardins) and well worth it!

We chose the set lunch menu and it was very good value at €12.50 for a choice of starter, pork or chicken main off the menu, boiled or fried rice and a dessert. The restaurant is obviously popular and the waiters greeted everyone like old friends. The spring rolls were full of flavour and the Vietnamese salad light and refreshing. We had lemon chicken and satay chicken for our mains, along with a generous rice portion. The dessert (crunchy nougat and ice cream) were just enough to round off the meal.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a more authentic Chinese - the cosy atmosphere and attentive service added to the overall impression and we left very happy!

I followed TA recommendation and visited Hanoi. It was a delightful dinner and the brothers there serving were extremely helpful and gave excellent advice on dishes. The restaurant is 40+ years and had been run and served by the family. That's why the good food quality continues. The spring rolls and the beef on a hot plate are must try. Nice good alternative if you want a food change. Recommended.

Had enough French food during our trip so decided on something a little different - used to great Vietnamese in London but this was some of the best we've had! Siu mai and the fresh summer rolls were delicious - ordered two rounds! Restaurant atmosphere and decoration was great and the staff were absolutely lovely - very happy to help us translate the menu and attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Value for money was excellent as well.
Would be going here every week if we lived here!

We thought we would try this restaurant as a counterpoint to French cuisine. The interior is really very nice, a charming Asian atmosphere. We had a 12.50 euro lunch menu and we were pleased with the food which was fresh, copious and flavorful. The service was so friendly and warm that we deemed the whole experience a great success.
