Really odd place with strange design. Depp burgundy is the main colour throughout - doors ,carpets ,lifts etc . Rooms are quite spacious but have a real cheap feel . Stone basin in bathroom just doesn't match the décor and looks to be a job lot !
Bed was Ok - stayed in a suite, but most of the room taken up by a Jacuzzi .Nice terrace .
Woken up by trains hooting every 10 mins from 4.30am !
Breakfast for 17 euros each was basic and no GF options.
At 220 euros per room I don't think this is decent value . Car park is free though !
The gym is a joke ,just 2 running machines in a corridor outside some rooms on the third floor- pity the poor guests !

We stayed at the Clarion Suites on a last-minute basis - and found it to be a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious and we had a beautiful view over the grounds- including a small pond with a pair of ducks.

The service was excellent- and the staff was welcoming. The only glitch was that we could not check in until 4:00 pm - which is kind of late- and although we arrived at 3:10 - they were not ready.

We walked and ran along the Midi Canal- which is beautiful and peaceful. It was a ten-minute walk into the heart of Narbonne- and we did that numerous times as well. Great location.

I would give this property a five BUT there is a parrot kept in a cage in the lobby. The poor bird is unhappy and noisy- and I cannot imagine why anyone would think that this is a good thing. Apparently he is owned by an employee.....? My recommendation is to remove the parrot immediately- we are planning a return to southern France next year and I will ask about that before making reservations.

Overall- a wonderful place to stay- clean, well-appointed rooms in an ideal location. The staff is friendly and has a good understanding of English.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the third (top ) floor near the end of the hall.

Spotless modern hotel, very comfortable and well equipped. Each room has a spa bath, cooker, fridge , microwave, TY pots and pans etc. Only thing missing was milk which the staff readily supplied on request. Brilliant chef ; generous wine and water supplies at dinner; very good breakfast..Only downside is that coaches have to park a short distance away but I found that no bother.

Room Tip: All good. All have private patio.

You can really relax here in one of the spacious suites complete with basic kitchen facilities, jacuzzi and outdoor balcony!
Beautiful facilities and amenities, including a small gym and large outdoor relaxation balcony, located at the Ile de Gua lock on the Canal de la Robine, about 15 minutes leisurely walk along the canal side into central Narbonne!

Always wonderful staff!
Excellent housekeeping, reception and breakfast staff!

This is the second stay we have enjoyed here - we come from Australia and stay here for several days before heading off for a week on a canal barge on the Canal du Midi.

Hotel was expensive and miles from the city centre. The dishes in the kitchenette were dirty on arrival. Overall service was poor. There are no curtains or shades between room and deck so the light from the next room shone through all night. The bed was comfortable.
