I ate such a good beef tartare here! i had lunch last week here. The owner was very kind keeping the kitchen opened for us after time. The tartare with fois gras was light and tasty. The price was right for what we had

I visit regularly and briefly lived near Perpignan.

I have had many hits and misses based on TripAdvisor reviews in Perpignan in the past and sadly some great restaurants in this area of town have recently closed.

However there seems to be a new fresh lease of life in the form of a couple of great local wine bars close by and this restaurant which we visited last week.

The service (though strictly french) was very accommodating as we had no reservation. With only one waitress for the entire restaurant on a Friday, she was was attentive and the Chef visible and friendly intermittently throughout the evening.

The food was absolutely superb from the welcoming nibbles, delicious wine by the glass, the best tartar I have ever enjoyed (we used to travel to Ceret for this) and an incredible cafe gourmand- we enjoyed it immensely and I cannot wait to return- I am booking a table for May with my friends... in a hurry!

Thank you so much!

We made the mistake of choosing the le p'tit Restaurant for lunch only because it is the #1 Restaurant in perpignan die to tripadvisor. We didn't Check out that they only serve tartare there. So we went in there received the menues and thought about leaving again But Decidef to Stay since we do like tartare. But the french style to make beef tartare, by cutting the beef instead of grinding it I don't like very much. also in Germany You use only the beast Meat for tartare, the Filet. Chewing a raw Pierce of Filet is no problem but chewing ob the cut beef tartare i find quiete annoying. Anyway the entre we had was some Kind of a Tuna sashimi with Green vegetables. It was delicious. For the Main Course my friend hat beef tartare and Asked to have it Pit in the grill a Little bit. It didn't taste so good and was hard to chew. The french fries that came with it were Fine. I had a st jaques tartare with a Little chorizo in it and vegetables. After This experience i can Day That i prefer the coquilles st. Jaques cooked. There is nothing negative to Day about the Restaurant, the owner is a really friendly Guy and the Quality of the Food itself is good. For us it was too cold in there because the ac was Turner down to 17C with ab Outside Temp. of 24C. Anyway in my opinion this place should Not List in the First Ranking on tripadviser since it is so specialized that bot everybody with an interest in High quality Food is Going to like it.

Le p'ti resto was absolutely fantastic, we had been looking for a vegetarian restaurant in Perpignan, however neither were open so we looked for other restaurants on tripadvisor and le p'ti resto was number 1, so we decided to go there. We were greeted by the friendly owner who seemed a little surprised at two English people seeking out his restaurant but was nonetheless delightful, the dining area is cosy, but very tastefully decorated and has very good air-con. We then found out the restaurant only serves food tartare, which could have been a slight issue as my girlfriend is vegetarian, but the owner was extremely helpful and told us he could do a vegetarian tartare, which wasn't on the menu. It was delicious, possibly the best meal I have had in France. The ambience of the place was a delight, and the prices not cheap, but fully reflecting the quality of the food. The dessert was fantastic, and the whole meal was topped off by the manner and service provided by the owner, which was exceptional.
