Friendly basic hotel with a great location, so many cafes, restaurants, bars and shops seconds away. The room was clean but small, and the reception staff were excellent. It has a lift, And nicely decorated but small reception area. The hotel rooms were tired and could do with smartening up, but it is great value.

Arrived after 7 hour train journey from Barcelona via La Tour de Carol(very interesting) to be told to go accross street to an associate hotel which was more modern and we were given the smallest room I I ever seen!. Only place to put small suitcases was the bed, tiny shower room. Immediately complained to owner of Wilson Square hotel who rng another hotel the Victor Hugo and took me with him to see a room of theirs, which was larger and 80 euros instead of 75. He agreed to pay the difference. Evven the new hotel was not up to the standard for a 80 euro hotel. Travelodges are superb in comparison.
I believe he is booking more rooms than he has and using the other hotel to take the overflow which is not fair. Be warned!

Good location Kind staff.
Room:good size. Full bed. Ten cable channels. Free wifi.
2 soap dispensers in the bathroom. One is in the shower and one is over the sink. The color is off putting. Ceiling is moldy.
Extra blanket in the closet:stained. No hairdryer.
Bed: can feel each bedspring b It's possible to pay the same rate for a comfortable bed, right across the street.

Our room had two beds, two chairs, a small fixed table, a small tubular metal luggage holder and a tall lamp which we never used as it was plugged into the only power point in the room. We had to pull out the bed to use that power point for charging a phone or to use hair tongs, and even then you could not see what you were doing with your hair as there was no mirror.
The shower cubicle was so narrow, I had to open the shower doors to bend down to wash my feet. We had to take it in turns to use the bathroom mirror to put on make-up, and there was nowhere to place anything. No coathooks, no drawers, no shelves, no hairdryer, so we had to live out of our suitcases for a week.
Breakfast was very meagre; we ordered it once and once only.
We shared the room with 2 spiders and a load of cobwebs; and the room was not hoovered on a Saturday or Sunday. The rooms are not soundproofed like the web site says. You can hear all the nocturnal habits as the walls are so thin.
During cleaning duties, whatever they spray the hotel with every day is not pleasant.
Avoid this hotel, if that is what anyone would call it. The faults are too numerous to mention. The only saving grace was one of the reception staff who was a real treasure. She gave us great advice on eateries and places of interest to visit.
Beggars on every corner do nothing to make you want to go back. A true waste of money.

My sister and I spent two nights in this nice hotel, located just off the centrally-located Place Wilson. The signs indicate the "place" is named for "President Thomas Wilson of the U. S." Huh? Turns out his name was Thomas Woodrow Wilson. Who knew? Several other hotels we tried were full, but we walked into this one, and they gave us a very nice double room. Spacious room, two beds, with spacious bathroom. Desk clerk gave helpful directions to nearby internet cafe. Great central location in a lively city.
