Staff on arrival were very welcoming. Hotel room was ok, smelt little smoky and in need of a makeover but adequate. Location quiet but some roads closed so may have affected. Broken hairdryer in the room but reception gave us a replacement without a quibble.

There are positives and negatives for this hotel in the heart of Toulouse. It is a clean hotel located in a lively “quartier” in the city centre but that location brings with it a considerable problem of traffic noise, as the soundproofing is not good. The famous Victor Hugo markets is nearby and is quite noisy from early morning. Also there are no shutters, just curtains, so may be woken by the blazing sun in summer. The rooms are generally very small; ours seemed to be located at the V end of the building so became more and more narrow, as we progressed inwards from the door! The carpets were frayed, there was no kettle to boil water and no plugs near the beds. The staff were not very motivated, from the reception to the cleaning staff. Overall it hardly justifies a 4 stars rating and is too expensive for the quality offered.

Room Tip: Don't plan on a lie-in!

The room was small, but clean and well appointed. The bathroom had a bath and shower and was a reasonable size. The room safe was large enough for a laptop. Parking at the nearby Jean Jaurès was handy, but pricey at 26 Euros overnight. The hotel website says you can get a 15 Euro at the Parking Jeanne d'Arc which looks to be about 5 minutes further away on foot.
Breakfast was basic, but good.
The hotel is on the edge of the largely pedestrianised city centre area, so a good location for a stroll around town.

Central old city location, close to restaurants, cafes and bars and waljable distance to the main sights and train station. Great ciews from the rooms at the rounded end of the hotel.

Smallish rooms, though those further back were larger. Comfortable beds, clean and well set up

The hotel, in my opinion, is not worth it's 4 stars. Our room was admittedly very clean but VERY small, we had to change after the first night because of light from the hotel sign pouring into the room. Staff absent from the reception more often than not, on the first night we were left out on the pavement because the chap had gone to help out a friend with a plumbing problem !
It's location however is second to none !!
