Location is excellent, just two minutes walk to the Place Wilson round about, and a couple of minutes more to the Capitol Square. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room i had was clean but very basic. There was barely any effort to furnish and decorate the rooms. The daily housekeeping did a good job to clean and tidy up my room. The only problem i had was the strange smell in the room, i believe it's from the carpet. Also mentioned by earlier reviewers, there was no shower curtains, so no matter how hard you try, wetting the toilet floor is inevitable. The sink is very small, it was very difficult brush teeth or washing face using such a small sink. Overall the excellent location and the good service from the staff still does not justify the price they charge for such a basic (and smelly) room. And i forgot to mention that the free Wifi was extremely slow.

Don't be fooled as we were by seeing the newly modernized lobby of this hotel. Once you board the elevator it's all downhill from there! Filthy elevator and hallway carpeting and sparse, cell-like rooms with little or no amenities. Not even a holder on the wall for toilet paper! We looked at the other location a block away and the rooms were just as bad. It's total misrepresentation from the lobby-on. Looks more like a very bad bordello once you leave the lobby. Shame on this hotel company! Go elsewhere or be sorry.

Bright and recently updated lobby with friendly service. That's where it ends. The elevator walls are covered with filthy smelly carpet. Upon arrival at floor, the hallways are claustrophobically narrow with dirty and distressed carpets. The first room was uninhabitable for two people. We were given another room which was slightly larger and had four large windows. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable. There was no shower curtain and no matter how careful you were, the bathroom was covered with water. There was no toilet paper dispenser, rather a roll was left on the sink. They said they were going to renovate and if so it could become more acceptable. At this time, I would avoid since there are many other fine choices.

This hotel is listed in the 2009 Michelin Guide, which mentioned ongoing renovation at that time. Our tiny room looked like a construction site with unfinished plaster board walls and a nonfunctional closet. Luckily, the weather was gorgeous and we only returned to sleep. Aside from the dismal room, the staff was lovely and helpful.

This is one of three Hours Blanc hotels in Toulouse, all in the same vicinity. The location is superb, next to Victor Hugo market just off Place Wilson and a short walk to Place du Capitole. The hotel is 2* due to the lack of bar and restaurant facilities, but these are plentiful in the surrounding streets. A continental buffet breakfast is available for 7 euros, which turned out to be good value for Toulouse! Our party booked 4 twin rooms which were on the small side but clean and well presented. No shower curtains in any of the rooms, which was strange. In summary, an excellent hotel, decent value and perfect location.

Room Tip: Corner rooms slightly bigger (110,210,310)
