We stayed in the deluxe apartment suite for three days with a family group of five (family of four plus grandmother). They provided an extra roll away bed and is was a perfectly comfortable for us. The location provides easy access to the downtown areas, church, and tapestry.

The hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating. We had a large van and the hotel has offstreet parking which was perfect!

I would strongly recommend the Hotel d/Argouges, along with an Overlord daylong Tour, where they will actually pick you up at this hotel! It was lovely. From our arrival til departure we were made to feel so welcome! The rooms are still somewhat "dated" (the carpet, for example) but the bed, linens and BATHROOM were fantastic! Great AM breakfast, too! We spent two nights, especially to be in Bayeux the morning of our tour, and wish we could have stayed longer!! Would have loved to "re-explore" the area ourselves after the tour! Also strongly recommend reservations in the town for dinner.

Yes the reviews are correct. If you can, stay here. Stayed three nights as part of a self-guided tour of Normandy. Free private and secure off street parking. Tastefully decorated and charming if cozy room (caution - low door to the bathroom!). Windows open to a view of the rooftops of Bayeux. Excellent WiFi and TV. First rate bathroom amenities. Location is in the centre of Bayeux near the town sights and reasonable restaurants. Central base to explore the D-Day beaches. I enjoyed the wine and cheese menu in the evening and the full breakfast in the morning - large cups of good hot coffee in the North American style - but also lots of local cafes. No elevator but I didn't find that a problem. Charming bilingual hosts.

Fredrick is the best host ever! We loved his hotel which has been lovingly refurbished. The breakfast room alone is worth the price of admission! Pay particular attention to the detail of the painting on the wood carvings - it's no wonder it took 2 years to restore the room to its original 1781 splendor. We stayed in Room 8 which was lovely. We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Plus there is a weekly farmer's market right across the street on Saturday AM. The BEST! Easy walking into the center of town and free parking made this a perfect location. Of course we loved that Fredrick had been to our home town of Seattle WA!
