We stayed at the Churchill hotel for 5 nights. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are very helpful. The hotel is very clean and the bed was comfortable, but our room was a little small as was the bathroom. Breakfast wasn't included so we only tried it once. For the price I would skip it. There is a great little coffee shop a block away that makes a great cup of coffee and good omelets. The hotel is in a great location. Convenient to stroll thru town for many of the local sites. Great restaurants to chose from. We ate in a different one every night. They have a shuttle service that will take you to Mount St. Michelle which was a nice feature.

Our room was tight; no conditioner in bathroom (but we found this to be the case in European hotels) and no wash cloths or mitts. Bed was comfortable. Our friends' room was quite a bit larger than ours. No lift, so be prepared to hike up the stairs with your luggage.

Room Tip: Rooms on 2nd floor were quiet.

Very nice boutique hotel located right in the center of Bayeux town square and walking distance from the train station. Very quiet at night but also just steps away from cafes, restaurants and shopping. Beds were very comfortable and room was modern design. Only "weird" thing about the room is that there is an opaque window from the bathroom into the bedroom which is a little awkward when staying with friends. Besides that I highly recommend this hotel. We rented a car to visit all of the Normandy war memorials and it took around 20 minutes to get to Omaha Beach from the hotel. Cabs are pricy so I would recommend either doing a tour or renting a vehicle. Great stay.

We loved our stay at the Churchill, a quaint hotel with warm and friendly service. It was close to the tour pick up points and very central for visiting the Bayeax Tapestry and other areas of interest. No car is needed for exploring the town. Great restaurants close by too - all in all an enjoyable experience.

We spent a couple days at Hotel Churchill and we were somewhat disappointed with the property.
The rail strike in France began our journey to Bayuex in a negative manor as our train was canceled and we arrived 3-4 hours after we were scheduled.
The room reserved was not the room we received uopn arrival. We went back down to the reception and were told that the room reserved was not available until the next day. The room we were assigned fopr the first night was tight to say the least. The second room that we occupied was much better for our needs. There was no lift in the and with a bad hip climbing the stair with the luggage is no picnic. There was no assistance upon check in with the liggage however when moving rroms the next day all baggage was moved to the new room.
We felt the buffet breakfast is overpriced for what you get.
