This chateau is wonderful! The room is lovely and the staff is very warm and friendly. It is close to Bayeaux and Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, yet quiet and lovely grounds!

We had the finest meal we have had on our trip!! The chef had paid attention to every detail. The waiter was fabulous! It was expensive but worth it with every bite!

Thank janicesn

4/31-5/3/17 Sitting in an enclosed glass patio with a garden view in the back of the historic building. I could hear the birds outside. The weather somewhat cool and part raining this time of year. Sipping wine and enjoyed an hors d'oeuvre made special by the chef. This place was awesome to stay. (Pic enclosed) I give it a 9. Bed and breakfast but not included. We enjoyed the spread. You boiled your own eggs how you like it. Plenty to eat. Variety of cold meat. There's French pool table in lobby. There's a bar. A little town two red lights away. Near Normandy beach. Lots to do. We were there 3days. We could stay another day or two and do more site seeing. People are absolutely pleasant and helpful. I have not encountered anything unpleasant. Like this place. Except it's no elevator. We were on 3rd floor. Ask for ground (its first floor in Paris. Underground it's -1, 2nd floor under is -2, etc)

Our experience here was terrible. The food was not as expected and the service was dismal. I would avoid this place. They are riding on the coat tails of an earlier evaluation. We spent three nights so we had an ample opportunity to evaluate this hotel and it's food. Wish we could have changed our plans.

This was our second visit here (the first time was 2012). Both times we stayed in the hotel and ate in the restaurant. We were blown away when we stayed in 2012, and so we were excited to take my parents for their 55th anniversary. We were a little disappointed this time around. While the building and grounds are both still beautiful, this time it felt a little neglected. The WiFi was extremely weak, the swimming pool needed to be cleaned, and the food and service were down from 2012 as well.

We had wanted to stay at the hotel but were unable to do so. When we arrived at the hotel, we thought that we had gone back several centuries.

When we entered, we were led to a patio overlooking the rear garden. Drink orders were taken and we waited while we reviewed the menus. We placed our orders and as soon as we had finished, we were led to our table.

Our meal started with an amuse bouche of a maritime nature. Foie gras, eggs presented two ways and cod formed our appetizers. They were delicious and gorgeously presented.

For main course, we had sea bream, lobster two ways and filet mignon. Again, presentation was exquisite. However, there was a problem. We specifically mentioned that one of the party could not eat onions of any variety that were not fully cooked nor garlic. The dish for that individual came with fresh chives and there was an accompaniment of puréed potatoes with garlic. Given the time that we spoke about this when ordering, particularly related to the item with garlic on the menu, we do not believe that this should have occurred. Additionally, we needed to ask to have the wine refilled on more than one occasion. This was necessary as the wine was not on our table.

We ordered the cheese platter as well as dessert. For dessert, we had fresh strawberries with salad, rhubarb and ice cream, chocolate cake with mint ice cream and the Local Apple. We ended the evening at the bar.

The food was immaculately presented. Service, however was a bit lacking although always friendly. I was a bit disappointed as this restaurant has one Michelin star. (Also, we noted a stain on the tablecloth which should not have been).

In conclusion, the food was excellent, but service was not up to expectations.
