Stayed one night here on the way home from our holiday. Pre booked a twin (confirmed) but they gave us a double. Small room nicely furnished. Good breakfast. Worth paying the additional cost to park your car in their private covered car park. it's much cheaper and safer than parking oin the municipal car park nearby

We stayed here for three nights in one of the annex rooms. Lovely view over waterway and conveniently located right next to the beautiful harbour. Bedroom was a good size and bathroom excellent - nice walk in shower and even a jacuzzi bath. Well appointed, apart from lack of tea/coffee making facilities or mini bar/fridge. Everything else excellent and would recommend this hotel if you are visiting Honfleur. Breakfast in the hotel is also very good.

L'absinthe is ideally located to walk into town or stroll by the harbour. I didn't know about the car park that you can access but there is a large car park opposite that costs €22 for 24 hours. The hotel seems to be spread across several buildings so you don't feel part of a single hotel with a heart such as a bar. We were in one of the annexes and the room was fantastic-large bed, exposed beams and air conditioning. The bathroom was fantastic with a jacuzzi style bath and huge walk in shower. The continental breakfast was modest but with good quality products.

This is a wonderful place to spend a night. The hotel has a great location. It is an older hotel that has been spiffed up and made to look a lot newer than it is.....the charm is nice and the baths are a good size. The room was small but for one night it was fine. We loved being in the center of the town. It is a charming town to walk through and see the harbor and boats. The downtown area has a lot to see including the church.

Room tip: no complaint here....just try and get the largest double room.

L'Absinthe is in a great location, easily walkable to the harbor and shops and dining. The rooms are beautifully decorated with exposed beams, antique furnishings and very nice linens, and both the rooms and the bathrooms are very large and comfortable. The hotel does have a paid parking area, but it's away from the hotel and since we were only staying for one night, we chose to just pay a little more and park in the public lot which was essentially across the street. The young lady who checked us in did not speak a great deal of English, and we don't speak a lot of French, but she was very friendly and we laughed a lot working through communicating with each other. Our bathroom had a large bathtub with a hand held shower, and there were many extras like a jacuzzi tub, bath fizzies, a bath pillow and nice robes also provided.

When we arrived, we saw that there was coffee (instant) and tea available in the lobby area (none in the rooms). We were happy about this as we were leaving quickly the next morning and did not wish to sit for breakfast . We thought this would allow us to just grab a cup of coffee and be on our way. The next morning however, the coffee had been removed from the lobby and the only way to get coffee was to pay the breakfast fee. Admittedly this is a very small thing, but for the price of the room and the many other extras provided, it was a surprising disappointment for such a nice hotel.
