We were a party of 4 looking for a seafood fix, and happened upon Cafe du Port just off the tourist trap strip. We took the Prix Fixe option for 3 courses (€15.90) and were happy that we got our money's worth. The Assiette de Fruits de Mer was generous, with prawns, ecrevisses, whelks and oysters, all really fresh and tasty. The moules marinieres was huge, fresh and yummy, couldn't finish it. The steak was clearly not the best quality cut, and was a bit chewy, I guess we should have stuck to seafood. The Aile de Raye was sweet, probably mostly from the cider sauce. Sweets were a choice of 3, profiteroles, ice cream or crepes - we tried the profiteroles and ice cream, and came away happy. Ambience (and service!) were very laid back but cheerful.
Happy with our experience at this eatery.

The food was really good! Super reasonable price and good quality and quantity. Moules frites with cream are really good. Nice place!

Sought out this place based on trip advisor reviews. Initially considered sitting outside but given the changeable weather we ventured in and asked the female host for a table. She didn't look too pleased that we had a baby with us (sleeping and completely quiet I will add) but showed us to a table. The table was at the very back of the restaurant, which was virtually empty except for the occupied tables in the window. The table had a booth style seat on which were the chef's dirty aprons and the table itself didn't look as though it had been wiped down for some time. The table was right up against the serving area from the restaurant and in full view of the hot and not so scenic kitchen. Wondering why we'd bypassed all of the other clean and vacant tables for this one I told the female host that I'd prefer another table. Her response "bye" and turned her back walked to her colleague and muttered and laughed. We left feeling we'd dodged a bullet, they were incredibly rude and did not come across at all family friendly. We were a group of 4 and took our money elsewhere... if you are a family I suggest you do too. Needless to say the menu looked very much like the many other restaurants dotted about and we found a lovely and welcoming spot just yards away. They even didn't treat us a second class citizens for having a baby with us! Shame on Le Cafe Du Port.

Bonjour

Cordialement

Set in a lovely street, Cafe Du Port, in a great spot for lunch - or even a late lunch.. They close at 5.00PM daily I believe and we arrived at 3ish, where a full lunch menu was still in full swing. Our savoury pancakes were delicious, the standard house wine good and well priced. I'd recommend this venue.
